This not seem typical of Berts, been there loads and never any problem with nosh or service from girls, even the locals were friendly and no bitching bout anyone but themselves. Mind you, find a bar in thailand where no-one slags off anybody or anything thai or otherwise and it'd be packed to the rafters. Lucky for you to have a roast beef cooking mom to keep you off the mcdonalds and other yankee fat food crap!

It is one of my locals, and I've never had bad service at any time in the last two years, most of the times it is the opposite.

 

One of the many things we need to educate (and you notice I say "many") you Shermans in is the art of friendly banter in a bar. Personnaly I'm not comfortable if someone doesnt tell me to get fcuked straight away once I stand at the bar, this opens the possibilities of a conversation up right away (such as "what the fuck do you want"), where by we can really get started then. Nothing brings more satisfaction than to insult people of many races, and get them wound up. Of course you could sit on your own like a really sad twat, I've seen that before, there was a guy in last week did that. He didnt move for 30 mins, he was there that long there was moss growing on him, and a bird was nesting in his hair.

 

As for the Thai bashing, funny as 50% of the guys are married/long time GF with Thai's.

 

Hopefully see you next week, when I'll be having another drink with a couple of convicts, an ice monkey and some sweaty's, and there'll all cunts

Well my friend I rest my case, you cant REMEMBER if it was Saturday or Sunday, 7pm Saturday we were all still watching football but we didnt sell any Roast Beef thin cut or otherwise then again maybe it was a week last Saturday when we had thin cut french fries and soggy doughnuts for the special. If your going to post a bad report about other peoples buisinnesses then at least have the decency to get your facts right, I will accept anything constructive and have done many times but will not accept it from guys ( sorry a guy ? ) who has no idea what time of day or for that matter day it is, sure you know what country your in Thailand and Tobago both start with T you know.

With four digits you can make any number between 0000 and 9999 as a combinationcode.

But since the thread was talking about dusting the keypad and seeing which numbers were used in making the code, you are wrong. And Ssornek is right.

 

Example:

• Say that the bargirl dusts the keypad and sees that the numbers 2, 3, 7, and 9 were the ones used to make the code.
   
  Now, this isn't any ordinary bargirl. This is a bargirl who is as smarter than Nemesea, possibly even as smart as Ssornek.
   
  She knows the first digit of the unknown code is one of only 4 options (a 2, 3, 7, or 9). Then the second digit has to be one of the three other numbers that weren't used yet, and so on, until for the 4th digit the only option is the one number that hasn't been used.
   
  So, the total number of possible ways to order four unique digits is 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 24.
  

There is a reason I make my bank/safe PIN numbers as long as the system allows (my preferred travel ATM card allows 6 digits). Oh, and for extra fun, I repeat a digit.

Need to check insurance small print, assuming u have any that is, cos some companies do not cover items and cash stored in in-room safes-obviously cottoned on to the talc scam! or insurance claim scams!

Quick review on the food:

 

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon after a wonder up Soi6, ordered the Sunday lunch and must say its the best i've had in Thailand. 3 courses soup, roast (choice of meat) and desert at a very decent price. I don't usually eat that much but I cleared up all three, so much so it was a struggle to walk back to Soi 3 for afternoon Zzzzz.

 

Just a shame this was at the end of my trip, but i'll definatley be frequenting for some nosebag when I return in January

(out of the 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0 possible numbers have been used)...so please tell me how you can have 10,000 variations of those four numbers (read buttons), Einstein!! You need to go back and read the original post - we are not talking here about just guessing four numbers out of ten!!

you might want to think this one through again,,,

if they do choose 2 (or 3) of the same numbers,,, that makes for less than 24 combinatiuons,,,

just joined this site with a view to vsiting Pattaya again after not been there since 1987 long time however Im wondering if any of you know of Tropical Berts . I used to serve in the same regiment as him but cant seem to find is Bar or web site in any of the hotel information that ive looked at.

Even if there are few combinations if 4 numbers are known the safe stays locked for a period of time if a few wrong attemps are made.

I normal stop at hotels ,because hol for 2 weeks.

 

After my visit in Nov for 2 weeks ,im back in March/April for 4 weeks I hope

BGs beware! The safe may be of the type that comes with an audit trail in which up to the last 250 attempts are logged, along with the time of the attempt!

I have to say I have never stayed at TB's but along with some friends uesd to play golf out of the bar when staying in fun town

 

Never had a problem I found it to be a well run bar
