First of all I want to say I am very much thankful for the info from this board! Am heading to LOS in Jan for first trip. Recently retired from Army (27 yrs) and this is my present to myself. Also will be in Philippines for 1 month. ? When I buy a cell phone here in LOS will it also be usable in the Philippines? Should I make RT reservations to PI now or wait till I arrive in LOS? Is it possible to rent golf clubs? As I would prefer not to bring my own. I am sure other questions will follow but that is it for now. Hoping to meet up with others and experience new things. Aloha

Dont know the answers to all your questions, but as far as golf clubs go, you can hire them and other golf equipment with no problem. Either through who you book your golf with or the golf clubs themselves

Will be in Pattaya Dec27th to Jan 4th end then Jan 18th to 28th (Careful - you will become addicted!)- happy to meet for a beer or 3 if you are around !

If you buy a phone in Thailand it should work in the Philippines you will just have to buy a sim card when you arrive there. I would book your hotel in the PI now one less thing to worry about.Sorry I don't know anything about golf but pretty sure you could rent some clubs.

yes your cell phone will work in the pi if it works in los i always just get a globe sim for mine in the pi

and i used mine in los last xmas

you should be able to get a room in the pi but many places will be fully booked check out balibago.com

for agents ect well for angeles anyway

I stayed at Rosie'o'Gradys in Aug, and they have a selection of good name clubs to hire from them, pop in when you arrive and find out the golf day's that are organised for that week, by the way, the courses and prices are first class, enjoy, Norm.
