please help identify this hotel

Recommended Posts

About a year ago I looked into this hotel. Its entrance is on 2nd road but set well back; it has a big parking area and lots of trees in front. The building interior - lobby, restaurant, reception etc reminded me of a reasonably ok hotel in the style of the 1950s. There was a big outdoor pool in the back.

It didn't have an in room safe, and moreover I was happy at my pricier soi hotel. But I'd like to find out their telephone no for future reference.

Can anyone help?

Not the Dusit. A little before you get there - and not remotely in the same price category.

If you walked - on the left going north - by its gate you'd see the entrance set back from the pavement/gate in a verdant driveway/car park.

Im hedging bets that it,s "palm garden hotel" just before the dolphin roundabout.......a very old hotel by pattaya's standards.

I think that's the one - it WAS just before the roundabout, it WAS an old hotel, and I do recall it had "garden" in its name. Thanks vidman.

Has anyone ever seen the rooms? Or have a tel no or website or other reference?

The Weekender is now Sabai Resort, with same owner as Sabai Dee, Sabai Lodge and most of Soi 2 too.

I am also sure that he is refering to Sabai Resort. I went in there over Xmas to do a Recce for my families visit in April.

I was VERY impressed with the bungalows at the back and the other swimming pools seemed OK too. Unfortunately they couldn't guarantee me at the time that the bungolows would be open in time so I booked into Sabai Wing.

Anyway the contact address I used for booking either Sabai lodge or Sabi Resort is this.

Sabai Lodge [sabailodge99@csloxinfo.com]
