Never had a problem with the Sabai Inn trying to rip me off for anything. The mini bar prices are just like a regular bar price. If it makes you feel bad just do not drink anything out of it.

:D

I have stayed at Sabai Inn on all my recent trips, back again in 4 weeks, never had any mini bar/phone problems, just buy my own stuff from 7-11, really wouldn't worry, I have always found the staff to be very good.

Thanks for all the replies good folks of this forum :D

I would rather have them empty the mini bar and do the 7/11, stayed in condo before and did 7/11 cool, stayed at queen vic on soi 6, crazy place, the guy in there is cool, always askin if everything is ok and nothing a problem to help you out with anything, i just went the 7/11 to stock up all i needed, i dont intend paying bar prices from a mini bar when there are loads of 7/11`s about that i can go too and just fill the fridge with all i need for a cheap price.

pauly77 i land in patts on the 26th may my freakin birthday... happy birthday me yeeehaaaa :D ..if you want to hook up for a drink let me know mate

There should be a mini bar price list in the room so.

But, like everyone else who's posted, I tend to buy and consume my own drinks from the nearet 7 - Eleven, Family Mart etc.

Hi,

My answer to this is.. go to 7/1 buy what you like.

I remove Singha & Heineken from the fridge because I don't like them and I replace with Tiger beer. I buy a few bottles of Bacardi Breezer & Sang Som and put big bottles of Coca Cola in in the fridge.

Then the party starts.

If the cost of a couplle of tins of Fanta was a cost factor then I'de stay at home!!!

Best regards,

ive stayed at sabai inn twice and couple others dont even worry about the mini bar in the fridge at all if u need a soda or beer just get it...prices are not bad at all its very reasonable not like here in the states where they charge 3 times more....if u going to be using alot just put it out and put what u want in there its not a big deal at all....sabai innis great hotel rooms are huge and clean and great location aswell

Newbie34,

On check in ask for an outward facing room, the internal rooms get no natural light and noise from both passageways either side.

The mini bar is reasonably priced, as most are in Thailand, nothing like most I have found here in Australia or the western world for that matter in my travels. I always do as all others have said, stock up from 7-11.

Overall a good hotel, even a few cuties at reception.

onelilley.

Don't know if I can claim a "favorite" after only 3 trips to day, but Sabaii Inn would have to be it! Baht bus picks you up right at the front door and POOF! you're heading towards WS for 10baht. Nice gogo on SOI and quite a few beer bars (not to mention soapys on 2nd road). Close to WelKom Inn and nice Thai restaurant right across soi. Haven't been there since January so don't know about construction, but in 57 days I'll have a handle on that :banana

Hi,

Construction where? Construction work is ongoing close to the rear of Areca. I stayed 2903 to 0204. Did not notice any around Soi 2?

Behind the rear wall of the Areca, behind the larger pool there is a large area of wasteland. To the right, a couple of hundred yards there is a large building under construction. I don't know what it is but it does not look like a hotel. I think maybe a shopping centre. It looked a long way from finished.

The work was not very noisey but it did start early each day, though I may have been lucky and i did only stay for 4 nights.

Regards,

Yes, I am. Don't worry you can tell Dennis I have not cancelled on him. I just like the SOI 2 area very much so I KNOW I will be spending some time there. Time is getting shorter by the day! See you there for a cold one, or 2, or 3.... :clap1
