 been using theese guys for a while now, £46 for a years bronze mulitrip package. always wondered what their service was like as i,d never had to use them yet. i got talking to a guy at SABAI LODGE who had is arm in a sling and was limping and asked him what had happened.

he told me he was taking a video of his girl on a cliff in KOH CHANG and while focusing the camera walked over the edge and fell 30 to 40 feet on to a raavine. had be taken to hospital to have 3 pins in his arm and his hip put back in. cost him 700,000 bhat for his hospital bill. told me his insurers were flying him back buissness class and then by taxi from heathrow to plymouth by taxi. he showed me the faxes and told me the insurance people were great. i asked who he was with and he said INSUREANDGO. this just answered all my questions and gave me faith un my insurers

OK Hats off to Insure and Go, they undercut the big guns and haven't wasted a whole lot of bucks on TV advertising etc. I'll be testing (hopefully not) my cover next week :D

I've never had a claim but above is reassuring. I use them 'cos the were the only insurers who would give me an annual multi-trip policy with a 90 day in any one trip cover. My previous insurer stopped doing 90 days and has a 60 day maximum on any single trip, to give them credit when the renewal was due the agent told me to try InsureandGo.

I am with these guys as well,so its good to hear that they are reliable.Have a years policy multi trip up to 90 day stay.

Did check out their emergency number before I went last time and it checked out with a smart helpful person who answered all my queries and doubts.

I am with INSUREANDGO as well, went for the Silver Annual Multi-trip.

Previously had always gone for a single trip policy, but with a 3.5 week trip it worked out just as cheap to take out the annual one.

Nice to hear they provide good service. Haven't had to make a claim with them yet, luckily.

Insure n Go give you a usefull credit card type plastic with your policy # and the relevant contact details.

But if 'belt and braces' is your way to go Pattaya Bangkok Hospital will log your policy details on your file....so no proceedural holdups if the sawang boriboon tip you in after a pool hall shooting or sai nung stab-a-thon.

I used InsureandGo for my last trip from the UK before moving out here permanently. It was also the first time I had to make a claim and I was far from impressed by the service they provided.

I phoned from Thailand and asked for a claim form to be sent - they didn't send one. My mail was being re-directed to my brother by this time (that's a rant for another time :ang2 ) so I phoned again and asked them to e-mail a form to me. Despite my repeating this, the stupid bitch kept saying I'll put in the post. I think her IQ must have been no higher than 50 as I just could not get her to comprehend that it had to be e-mailed as I wouldn't receive it, if it was posted.

Eventually, I ask to speak to a supervisor. None available as they're all in a meeting. I ask for one to call me back as a matter of urgency. No one did so I called again and surprise, surprise, they're all in another meeting. At least the guy I spoke to e-mailed the form to me.

I then see that they wanted my boarding passes. I wasn't advised of this when I originally phoned so had thrown them out as I would be moving out of my flat permanently in less than 2 weeks. I get round this by photocopying the stamps in my passport, showing my arrival and departure dates.

A check on their web-site revealed that the claim should be settled within a certain time of all documentation being received. A phone call to my brother confirmed that nothing had been received, so I phone them from Thailand and am told that they were still awaiting further documentation. I ask what documentation they needed and am still awaiting an answer, aslmost 2 years later. I ask for a supervisor to call me but no-one has the courtesy to return my call. This whole process was repeated a number of times until they eventually settled my claim in full.

Overall, I was less than impressed with the standard of service I received from them after submitting my claim and if I hadn't retired here, think I would have been looking at a different company for the next year. They fell down badly on the simplest of things - returning a call to a custome who was not happy. This gives the impression that customer service is not important to them and that is the worst thing ANY company can do.

At least they did settle my claim eventually.
