Stayed here for a few days in August.....

...650 baht per night(promotion)

...free wi fi

...no joiner fee

...free use of the pool, gym and car parking at LK Metropole

Ok here's the bad....

...no in room safe

...the room had no window, only way to see daylight was to open the door to the balcony

...Loud... the doors to the balcony and louvered window in the bathroom were wooden and I could hear everything in Soi LK Metro as well as Soi Diana. The room was right across from Champagne A Go Go and I could easily hear people talking and motorbikes all night long. The rooms that faced the LK Metropole had to be much quieter but they were all booked. I'm sure the more expensive rooms were better but this room was just too loud and gloomy looking for me.

Stayed here recently and the balcony doors and slats for windows didnt only fail to keep the noise out, they failed to keep the mosquito's out , i was eaten alive. They also failed to keep the cool air in , despite running the air-cond 24/7 which you can here the room was never cool enough.

Nice rooms and quite a nicely designed place but couldn't recomend anyone stay there.

Thanks for the review. I had considered this place, it is OFF my list of possibles now. You saved me some grief, hate to have the noise like that.

I stayed there for a month back in 2005 or 2006 I think it was.

The middle size room I was in definitely had a safe in it at that time and if you find the string you will find an almost comical discussion of how you could remedy that fact on a long stay.

There should be pictures of the middle size room on the string as well. Use the search feature over the past three years and you will find it.

It was a nice place but there are equally nice places around.

Actually the area has grown-up a bit and there is a flock of them about that neighborhood.

Edit: Here's my pics from 2006 and I notice there are a couple other threads as well on this place.

From sateefs picture you can see the glass panels above the doors and windows, the room is never dark becuase the light from the hall gets into the room through these panels/windows.

You can also see the doors is very thin and the window is just a flimsy venetian type.

Without cheating and re-reading my review the biggest intangible with Keerati was it was TOO DARK for my taste. The hallway was not well lit and I didn't have any problem with the light coming in from the hallway (I was in the back next to the Metropole ) The bathroom is vented to the outside so I just kept the bathroom door closed. Hence, no bugs in the bedroom and my aircon kept the place cool enough. My bedroom windows were traditional glass-type with wooden blinds, the later of which I kept pulled out of the way most hours.

My bathroom was good size and the shower area as shown is quite large.

Overall a pleasant stay but nothing special enough to warrant the higher price IMO.
