Absolutely no problems here.

Clear your Internet cache. If you're using Internet Explorer click on Tools, Internet Options, Delete Files. ALL of them, yes.

Then it's a good idea to restart.

I've had occasional problems - but I've been blaming my browser (Opera) or just my laptop running slow when my antivirus software does its daily check.

I've had this elsewhere so I doubt whether it's the board's software to blame.

Regarding photos, you really have to wait until ALL the photos have opened before trying to read later posts. It's a pain in the backside but it's a problem on all the boards.

Get a mouse with a scroll wheel. You can't beat it for scrolling here and lots of other web sites. I wouldn't be without mine as it makes reading, scrolling and clicking through pages a one hand operation just with the mouse.

I've been uisng one for ages but I still have occasional problems scrolling. I'll turn the wheel but nothing will happen. Then, suddenly, the page will jump to the appropriate point. Frustrating when it happens but I think it's a PC problem rather than a problem with the various boards' software.

Exactly same for me even coming up with the "Not responding" at the top of page forcing a re-boot! <grin

No problems for me unless the page had loads and loads of pictures and they are not done loading. The size of the page gets bigger as all the photos load (that's as techie as I get :D ) Posts with loads of replies seem to be much longer than most web pages. Doesn't help when 10 people reply and "quote" a post with duplicate pictures in the "quote" :D

I'm thinking it's because you have a slower connection and the page is not done loading before you start to scroll down??? (Similar thing happens w/ my Iphone when using the Edge network).

As others have suggested, clean out all the junk (temp files, spyware, cookies, cupcakes, empty beer cans) and reboot once in a while (might not help, but your system will run better for it.).

I'm on TOT's shit awful broad band service - 332/180 as opposed to the 512/256 that I'm paying for.

I clear out my files on fairly regular basis and reboot my modem several times a day - thanks to these useless cunts at TOT. In fact, my modem is switched off when I go out or go to bed unless I'm downloading MP3 files. I've just given up on that because the service just now is so bad!!!!!!

I've been having similar problems today. Pages, without photos, only partially load, can't scroll down a page, and two or three times I was throw back to a page that said something to the effect that there were too many connections being made at this time...whatever.

Only happening here so it is not my software or connection.

Edit in: I've tried 4 different browsers in Linux and 3 in XP and the result is the same each and every time.

I hope that was a temporary problem that was resolved by a web server restart, not related to the scrolling problem mentioned a week or so ago.

I'm still having the same problem that Scalawag mentioned though I do agree that it's totally different from the scrlling problem mentioned earlier.

In fact, the only way I could see the previous 2 replies was by clicking on the "Add Reply" button. It's an FLB problem as I'm also looking at the Secrets board with no problems whatsoever.

Well I'm on a speed of 3.2 Mbps, and I am having proplems waiting for a page to load.

I also notice that the page don't load fully, I cant see the quick jump at the bottom of the page,

and then if I hit the back button it takes ages or most times not at all. Then if I close IE, and then re-start it, the first page loads up ok.
