For some guys coming to Pattaya for a short stay, wasting time and money in a club that sucks is valuable time that could've been spent having a good time somewhere else.I know one guy may have a bad experience with a club while many other will have the best time ever. But I was hoping to find a list of clubs most guys found nothing more that one scam after another. I've heard many negative comments about the Kitten Club. Please fill free to post a club/clubs to avoid. :bj2

I'm not sure there's any one club that should be avoided. Face it, if a place is no good, it probably won't be in business long.

Your best bet is to just keep your wits about you and if you aren't feeling right about a place, pay up and leave.

It depends on what you consider a "bad club".

As was pointed out, bad policies will eventually change - either due to loss of business or change of management. Either can completely change a club.

There are a number of minor things that some people just cant stand, however, that might make you mark a place as bad.

Take for example: Oasis agogo on Soi Buakhow. Personally I like the place... but they have one very bad habit that gets on nerves. They have ladydrinks at 95 baht, and lady "cocktails" for 130. When you order a lady DRINK, it WILL be a cocktail, unless you specifically tell them NO COCKTAIL. 100% of the time, with no exceptions. I sat in there one night for about 3 hours watching, and every lady drink I saw delivered was a cocktail.

I personally dont mind, as I will just tell them NO COCKTAILS, but it is a bit of a pain as it starts out the meeting (with the lady) on a slightly negative note. Always a bad thing. If I really like the girl tho, ill just let her get a cocktail lol.

There are a number of other places that do similar things... but I dont know that I care to compile a list, as not every "problem" will be a problem to everyone. Its all YMMV.

As a newbie, that's a good practice to know about. I live less than a two hour drive from Tijuana Mexico and one pratices some touts love to pull is having you order, say, a bucket of beers. Before he actually places the order, he'll ask for the money first . A $20.00 dollar note is handed over and he's off to the bar and returns with your order. Then with a straight face he'll say, ok, " that will be $12.00". WTF? we just gave you a 20.00. THis B.S. goes back and forth and not even the club manager will back you so your SOL. Then they have the nerve to later ask if you what to buy the lady a drink :banana .. NO! after, after these beers are finish, were out. :clueless

That said, but Kittens is still there. I believe they survive by catching the newbie. This is a good thread as I am a believer in 'name and shame'......

So....except for 'Legs' and the place next door (Classroom?)... I would walk straight past PattayaLands, unless you are gay.

Don't listen to 'Roland'......

I haven't been in Tony's on Walking Street in a long time but it seems like when I was in there, I was being hit up for tequila drinks and a lot of other BS. Things may have changed but be careful if you go there.

you are lucky if thats the only scam you had in club oasis,as a mate of mine got hit on the head by a bottle, one got ripped off with the ususal 500/1000 baht scam.its a horrible place with horrible farangs running it and a few horrible birds too.my aim in life is to stop any of my mates going in there.the fuckers wouldnt even allow us the cctv camera when my mate got bottled by a bouncer.yes they do have bouncers hovering.

If you have a problem in a club/bar call the Tourist Police and see if they can help you out. When I give a service girl a 1K note, I maintain a 'death grip' on the bill until she tells me 1K. So far no problems with getting the correct change.

I know its a bit "british common sense" but try these:

Ask the touts outside the price of your chosen drink before you go in!

Check every bin that comes to you!

Ask ladies what they will drink and find out the cost. (ask service if youre embarrassed to ask lady). its only business remember.

Physically "say" the note denomination youre giving her when check bin.

AND obviously actually count your change and dont just skim over it.

We have all been there and been caught out......its OUR fault tho for not being more aware and not them for pulling a fast one (whether deliberate or not)

I had some cheeky tart say...'I know it 1000 baht, I can see'.......

'Yes and I want to see a 500 baht note in change I said'....

But the 500/1000 scam has not been tried on me in a decade.

Just the odd missing 100 baht note in the change...

Or the more than necessary coins hidden under the notes...

Fair point, being aware is necessary. But I reject that it is my fault that someone manages to cheat me... as much as I blame the gold shop for being robbed for being there, or the guy getting mugged after using an ATM, for doing so. I think bar owners should be aware, watch their staff, and be pretty quick to get rid of those with a criminal tendency.

Pattaya GO-GO Review....

Believe it or not, the last few times I was in Kittens I wasn't ripped off at all. They were even doing a two for one drink special, so I bought one Heineken and they brought me two. The only strange thing was that at one point I couldn't tell if the girl that came to sit with me was a Katoey or not. He/she made a big point of having me feel her tits. I got the impression it wasn't a real girl.

I count back change all the time. So I seem to catch the 7-11 worker

doing this once in a while. They seem pretty surpised that a count

it back to them.

When in doubt, I check to see if she has a dick and I hate it when it's bigger then mine. :eyecrazy
