Arriving again finally after a break of 4 years.

Will be coming in July 14 - what would be better? pre book or take my chance on better prices for walk - in?

IMHO it is better to book a room as you don't want to be walking around for a room after a long flight with all your luggage and the hot humid weather.

Spend your time having fun

Right. I always book ahead, at least for the first day or so. That way, I know where I'm going and don't have to fool around when I get there. I also try to pay in advance for the room. That way, they'll hold it for me if I get in late.

Right on. And really, there are only two chances of getting any kind of deal worth trudging from door to door - fat and slim.

Better to book in advance - why need the stress of finding a hotel, especially after a long flight & road trip.

A waste of valuable party time.

I agree with all these men have said. I work on the 29th, head to the airport for a 1:30 AM flight on the 30th, arrive midday in Bangkok on the 31st. Not only do I want a room ready for me when I arrive but I want transportation pre-arranged as well. I will be a zombie on arrival and prefer things pre-arranged. After being mostly awake for two days, I don't want to have to deal with any more than is absolutely necessary.
