DINE FOR 99 (All u can eat 99bt)

Was there Sunday right around 3pm - packed already...

The food reminded me of what I'd find in a Las Vegas casino buffet, not too exciting but considering the price well worth it.

Hmmm. Okay, thanks. I'm pretty sure that said 35 baht for a soft drink when I wrote my first post, but could be me misreading.

To follow in the footsteps of one of our BMs who likes to be precise on member's posts, you definitely misread the post. If the post had been changed it would have been indicated on the bottom of the post that it had been edited.

The first buffet place that I encountered that charged additional baht if you left an excessive amount of food was the BBQ place up on 3rd RD where you do your own cooking.

In the Thai " All you can eat" places I have eaten at they have two price structures . For empty plates and plates with left overs so you could have:

99Baht if the plates are empty or 110Baht if food is left over on the plates...Stops people having eyes bigger than their bellies...

Just a quick word of advice on these. I love these places to death, but if you have anything left over dump it in the pot, or you can be sure it will be getting served the following day. That was advice given to us by one of the waitstaff at one of the popular Patts joints.

I was in for the pizza night last week, I enjoyed it for the money. Interested to see how the burgers taste.

Heh. So now the guys who don't like you know what to do with what they can't finish.

Just kidding, but I'm sure you're right.

Doesn't apply to this place because its not a buffet. Each time you request more food it is cooked at that time, does require more wait time but you food doesn't sit around in a steamer. Had breakfast there the other day with 2 friends, had the omelett, French toast, pancakes, home fries, bacon and sausage. Would have had more but I'm on a diet.

Food Poisoning at dine for 99...I met a friend at dine for 99 on Lasagna night... We both had the chicken lasagna... and the next day we both got totally sick... I had to be dine for 99 as we only met there and after dinner went our separate ways, the next day we both got completely sick at the same time with the same exact symptoms, and we didnt get better for about 36 hours after it started... so I am going to stay away from the place from now on. I also heard the owner tell a customer that he has about 600 customers a night... That cannot be true.. he only has 30 chairs in there so he would have to fill each chair 20 times a night. I was there it was 7 pm, pretty much prime time for dinner, and for the hour we stayed he only had 12 customers... Why does he need to lie, anyone that can do math can clearly tell that he does not serve 600 people a night maybe 100 if he is lucky... Food that makes you sick and an owner that lies... no more for me, plenty of other options in pattaya.

this place should be renamed "all you can starve 129 baht".

Went there on pizza day , was served first a quarter , than a 1/8 slice, than another 1/8 , and so on until you give up exhausted by the 10 minutes waits between one slice and the next (besides I suspect you are limited to one slice for each type, therefore only 5 slices in total)

This is far from being an "all you can eat buffet" where you have direct access to the food, like Lek Hotel.

You will have to pay the 99 baht bill with 1 baht coins.... and a 10 minute wait between each! :D

Just got back from a month in the great city of Pattaya. I love pizza so I went every pizza night. First they give you a salad of cabbage and vinger plus a big dinner roll. I think to fill you up. Then after a 10 min. wait you get a big 1/4 of a pizza slice. When finished you can then order your next slice. This one will be 1/8 of a pizza and take 10 min. After you finsh that one you get even smaller slice after a 10 min. wait. The next slice everytime was under cooked and made you just want to leave. But the worst part is the owner stands in the middle of the place and yells at the workers the whole time.

He is an American and so I'm I. I felt terrible that the worker most likely thought all American's are assholes.

I took the wife and kids there for breakfast a few weeks ago and I must say that I was not very pleased. FYI.......Breakfast is not buffet style and the omelet I ordered was very dry and tasted horrible. I really hate to give a new venture a bad review but this place really needs help in the breakfast department. I thought that since the owner was American that I could expect an American breakfast, which I didn't. The kids ordered bannana pancakes and they were out of bannana's so they settled for blueberry but when the cakes arrived they had no toppings at all. A lady who works in the area told us that almost everything is cooked way ahead of time and then microwaved when ordered....don't know how true it is.

I tried Dine for 99 on last weeks pizza night and it was inexpensive but a pain in the ass. Others are correct 1st piece is reasonable size but having to write down on what you want on every other piece there after is too much and makes the meal unpleasant. The waits of 10 minutes for each small undercooked piece after the 1st good one makes wants you to leave sooner. If you advertise an "all you can eat" put it under a heat lamp and allow people to enjoy their food rather than this semi rationing method. Sorry but I would prefer to pay more and get quality and convenience.

I was going by this restaurant today and gave it another try on the roast night and they have changed things in a positive way. It is now a true buffet with steam trays so no need to wait for waitress's to come over while you fill out a checklist. The food tasted better, roast beef, turkey and pork were great with you deciding portions and amount of gravy, veggies, spuds and yorkshire pudding. I did an expensive carvery in early December and it was dry and awful (plus 4 times more expensive). I think I'll try another dinner next week. After bitching in my previous post I should give some credit when things get better.

I'm not defending this place but the breakfast nor any of the other meals were ever advertised as buffet style. Also around the 1st of Nov the breakfast meal changed from all you could order for 99 baht plus 1 drink to a set menu breakfast meal costing 99 baht that included coffee. Was told this change was at the request of the LK management as they were having most of their hotel guest eat at this restaurant instead of theirs.

I also heard that this place changed owners recently.

I guess technically it was advertised as "all you can eat" not buffet style but waiting on servers to take orders then again to deliver your meal plus any additional helpings was slow and inefficient. The new "buffet" format fixes this problem as the evening meals anyway are now buffet style (never been for breafast).

Didn't it just open this summer? new owner already?......Happy to hear about the changes.....I'll try it again on my next visit!

Yes, before that the owner had The Cherry Restaurant people as tenants. Apparently he got an offer that he liked.

Myself I like the all you can eat off the menu as I don't like having food sit around in the trays. Even though I'll have to wait I only go their to meet up with friends and BS so the wait time is used for discussion.

MASH - You can't have that with a roast, it's just wrong.

It's quite obvious that you are not an American. Mashed potatoes and roast beef, pork or chicken go together perfectly. What else would you have if not mashed potatoes?

Roast potatoes done next to the meat or bird.......... far superior.

Turning golden brown and blackening slightly at the corners.... Mmmmmmm

I'll be having some later.......
