As for Spain and Italy bagging all the top boys. The players are just going back to where most come from. .

Hi,

Modern footballers are like bank robbers. They go where the money is. Man City have bought some top players though.

Hi,

Chelsea and Tottenham have made the best start to the PL. Liverpool have started badly and the Americans seem to be struggling to raise funds. Timing of the credit crunch has found them out.

They were talking about that on the radio. Man U and Liverpool have both become selling clubs this season and its maybe due to their American owners saddling them with so much debt. Doesnt look good for either club. I dont think the owners would mind too much if the clubs went downhill, but their bank balance improved.

Foreign players and owners seem to lack the passion of the fans. They are there purely for the profit.

I remember a quote by a Sky football presenter about a new European player at QPR ; " He looks the part, but I wonder how he will perform at Loftus Road on a cold rainy Tuesday night in January ? "

At least our Clubs new prospective owner, is local and a life long fan.

Hi,

Money is God in America. Never forget that.

Hi,

In an ideal World that would be the case.

I see VY has not voted yet...

The bookies are waiting for Vics announcement, so they can cut the odds on the team he pics as he "knows football" so well :D

His last prediction was spot on. " Spurs fans were happy to be top of the league" :ang2

Hi,

Chelsea done well to win at Stoke which may prove a difficult trip for many teams. The Mancs had a good day against the Cockneys with Man City beating Arsenal and Utd having a good win against an in form Spurs. Villa won the Brum derby and Liverpool scored plenty of goals. Early days but Man City are shaping up well but Hughes will have a difficult job keeping everyone happy.

Hi,

Entertaining Manchester derby. City foiled by "Old Traffordish" timekeeping. Chelsea look solid against their old enemies Spurs. Liverpool win at West Ham with Torres looking in excellent form. Must say defending in Prem leaves a little to be desired this season.

4 minutes injury time. Add 30 secs for substitution. Add 1.30 for Bellamys celebration and slapping a fan, or maybe even 2 minutes . Makes 96 minutes, or 97. I guess Man City forgot, that you should play to the whistle :D

Anyway, Foster had both hands on the ball when the little Argentinian gargoyle kicked it out his hands for their first goal :sorry

Hi,

Great game but can't see either team winning the Prem this year with that level of defending.

Up until the 95th minute, Capello must've been chuffed - Rooney & Barry scored and were in decent opportunistic form.

Then just as he was asking his wife to fire up the BBQ, some short-arse scored in the 96th minute.

Bye bye appetite, back to stroking his chin.

Hi,

Surprise defeat for Chelsea. Arsenal and Man Utd win difficult away games. Man City still on a roll. Torres looks a class apart for Liverpool. Defending continues to be a problem, anyone thinking of hiring some Italians to do the job ?

Yes, they have a passive defence, but Id need to ask Vic if the offence counts as aggressive  They will be fecked if Torres or Gerrard get injured. I have a bit of a negative view of the owners and what they will spend.

Hi,

Chelsea scrape a win in the big game. SAF blames ref for his mistakes. Arsenal run riot against Blackburn. Chelsea seem to have the most robust team at the moment. I'm glad Burnley are winning their home games. Will be interesting how they perform away from home against the lower level Prem teams.

Interesting stat came up in theChelsea game that only two of them were under 30. Not sure about their squad, but they might have to go on another spending spree as the oldies go over the hill. Lampard is having a poor season. Some of his shots were woeful. Not like him at all. Deco should surely be dropped soon.

Hi,

As I've said before Ancelloti has experience of managing a successful older team. I know the Prem is faster but never underestimate that guy. The problem I see is the African players playing mid season in their Cup. :banghead

Hi,

Sunderland seem the team in form, following a good draw at Old Trafford with a win against Liverpool. The bigger teams are always vulnerable after the Champions League/International break and Chelsea got beat despite playing well. Arsenal and Man Utd were both below par but managed a win. Burnley show improved away form despite defeat and I hope they can get some away wins and stay up.

Hi,

Man Utd's barkers, in the media, were out in force at the weekend to bury Rafa and Liverpool. Unforunately, for them, Torres and Liverpool had too much class for a disappointing Utd. Even the much maligned Lucas had a good game. Chelsea had a great win against Blackburn. Arsenal were held by West Ham after 2 contentious decisions by the referee. As I've said here before I think they need several English Internationals on the team before they will get a fair shake from the Premiership referees.

Hi,

Well done Stoke City for their best win in the Prem against Spurs. :clueless

Hi,

Another defeat for Spurs, this time in the North London derby. Good win for Chelsea and Man Utd win as well setting up a showdown next week in London. Liverpool lose again and seem to be under pressure both on and off the field.

Hi,

Burnley were the stars of the weekend, getting their first away point at the ultra rich Man City. Man Utd played a sound tactical game but were undone by a sucker punch from John Terry. Arsenal keep in the hunt with an easy win against Wolves.
