If you do a search, there's an excellent video by PattayaPete dedicated to the A380 on the BKK-DXB route.

Hi E

Yes I have travelled on the 380 from Lon to Dub Jan past excellent plane nice leg room and the meals are good. Its such a bright and airy cabin the fact that the side walls are straight unto they almost reach the ceiling adds to this I think. The staff are apparently specially trained and serve only on the 380 (according to one I spoke with) they were very friendly. Its a great way to travel and very comfortable. Although on saying that, well you still have a long journey so good luck! Its a big bird!

Beginning of July did the DXB-BKK sector on the A380. Was well impressed. It doesn't feel as claustrophobic as the Emirates 777s. Hope you enjoy your flight.

Watch out for the Boeing fanboys on here that slag it off at every opportunity.

I'm looking forward to using it. I'm so keen I've got 9.5 and 7.5 hour stop-overs in Dubai to get 4 flights on it. Departing 24-Sep - can't wait.

Hi eycplUK,

Think you maybe mixing me up with another board member. I have never stayed in the RG, in fact I am very rarely in Pattaya these days, I am a Nakhon Phanom resident 99% of my time in Thailand now.

Will certainly let you know what I think of the aircraft, just hope that it is not substituted for an 777 as happen either yesterday or today.

Best Regards

Fireman Sam

Sounds like you have to wait, quite a lot! My stopovers are 2 and 2.5 hours in Doha and I'll take the A330! :devil

As I said, I'm happy with the stop overs to get four A380 flights in. Just booked with Qatar for March @ £388 with similar transit times as you.
