I saw this on Yahoo, a few asian ones including one Thai Airline which i have never heard of before.

I always fly major carriers and jumbo jets. None of those commuter planes.

If flying from the Uk, i always try to get an Emirates deal costing £435 from Birmingham, planes are clean, food great for an economy flight and every entertainment system works, my theory if they take care of the little things then they get my confidence in the safety issues.

 

Another thing if god forbid and there was a issue and a crashed was caused, imagine the compensation issues would be cause trying to sue such as Teebah Airways Sierra Leone

The one Thai airline listed, One Two Go Airline, flys mostly domestic routes in Thailand as well as a few flights to some close neighbors of Thailand.

 

I flew them from BKK to Phuket a couple of years ago. It is a one class discount airline and I was supprised when we boarded what looked to be a new jet airliner. Service was excellent. While at the airport I observed several of their aircraft including a 747 on the ground. Could find no fault with them.

Merpati I have flown at least 20 times Jakarta to Denpasar.Excellent airline.What ius definately missing from the list is Spirit Airlines.A US carrier based in Fort Lauderdale,FL. They are the most dangerous thing with wings.

Siem Reap Airways is a subsidiary of Bangkok Airways, and in fact, most of the Bangkok to Siem Reap flights are actually technically this carrier's flights.

I've also flown Merpati from Lombok to Denpasar. 20 minute flight, seemed quite professionally run. And Siem Reap Airways is run operationally as a transparent part of Bangkok Airways , which I've always regarded as an excellent (if often over-priced carrier). Those are 2 carriers I am surely surprised to see on the list. One-to-Go belongs on the list. They crashed a flight between BKK and Phuket a couple of years ago, due to pilot error, and they run really old planes that other airlines have retired from service.
