Anyone got any experience of this - room services are obviously lower and elec and water on top but it's a good deal vis à vis (daily rate x 23) ?

Thanks in advance

Agreed. They'd much rather you left so they could rent the room again if possible.

Okay - typical stupid Brit I put in the e-mail that we would be staying for 23 days - but can change that if they scream (or change hotel). Haven't had a drink yet today that's why the brain isn't working.....

Thanks MO and MM

I do it all the time with no problems at all. Stayed atLiquid lounge and R-con, their happy as you pay for 1 month up front plus a sizeable deposit, and as previously stated they can get "Double" room rent after you leave. No need to tell them beforehand or make excuses.

As I understand it,they charge you for the month on the month rate,if you leave after two days, that of no interest to them, you have paid and they are happy.

i dont get it , why pay 30days when you stay 23days. Why cant the hotel charge pro rated and maybe add 10% to the room rates for periods less than a month.

23days is not exactly a month but still much better than a weekly stay.

I may be in Pattaya for the world cup but will not stay the full 30days (most prob 21-28days) so I'll most probably be in a similar situation

I agree that it's frustrating having to pay for the entire month,as I very often stay 24/29 days only. However it's still by far the cheaper option and the Hotels are on a good thing, and as such will never offer a Pro-rata deal!

Mostly using my preferred Airline schedule I cannot get a 30 day stay due to limitations on cheap tickets and restricted airline flying dates.

The fact is,the monthly rate is usually a big saving, either daily or monthly, can't have it both ways!

I disagree. 23 days is a long stay especially if it's during low season. The hotel manager normally is the only one with the authority to discount rates and you have to deal with him. Not some desk clerk. Many times with hotels it's let's make a deal.

Not this bollox yet again,in the past on numerous occassions you have stated that YOU have received substantial discounts using this method. Okay Denny I will be in Pattaya again in May for 24 days. I challenge you now, once and for all, to name a Hotel, name this MYTHICAL manager who YOU say offers you these fantastic deals!

I WILL E-mail him, quoting your recommendation and if he offers me a good low season reduction I will be happy to eat dirt and offer you my apologies.

Two conditions though, it must be a better than the stay7 pay6 deals that abound during low season, secondly on no account must it be that "Skyslops" hovel.

Up to you, put up or cease posting this repeated crap! :wanker :wanker :wanker :wanker :wanker :wanker

What five hotels do you want to stay at? Email the manager of each hotel give him your dates. Tell him how much your willing to pay. I'd suggest starting at 50% off their daily rate and negotiate from there. Your vacation, your money and you do the work getting discounts for your vacation. FWIW, I don't stay at a hovel.

YOU have stated many times in the past that YOU had achieved much success using this approach, now to save time and to assist a fellow BM, I requested names etc of YOUR Hotel Manager contacts.

I can only assume that due to your continued refusal to assist me and refuse to provide said information, that this still a further example of your lying/bragging behaviour, why will you not provide help for a fellow monger and prove once and for all that at least one of your claims is not simply :D :beer :D :D :bs :bs

You write an extremely hostile, belittling post and you expect me to help you out.

Patrice is a rental agent at with an office near VCC Condos. His units are prorated daily so you don't have to negotiate. He's an easy guy to seal with and has units at VCC, MyView, Yensabai, and a few other places. Around 12K per month.

My pet peeve is places that won't give the monthly rate if staying for 5 weeks and instead charge the monthly rate for one month and then it reverts to a daily rate.

If your staying 6 weeks and if it's low season. I'm surprised the hotel manager isn't kissing your ass for the business. In a resort town 6 weeks stay for a hotel is damn near nirvana.
