I am not against immigration, I would prefer controlled immigration and for everyone to speak English and not to make allowances for people to live in the UK without learning the language and therefore not wanting to integrate. They do that because the UK is a soft touch as we have many tree hugging traitors who want to pamper them and kiss their asses. What we need is to only let in the most talented of immigrants and those that want to integrate. If they dont integrate, they eventually want to take over as their numbers increase. I dont think either is true according to stats I published before, and I do not think for one minute that Muslim immigrants commit more crimes than the indigenous British population. Most Black British subjects are are born and bred in UK and are UK citizens from several generations from the Caribbean.

In my experience, visiting Horfield Prison in Bristol (don't ask), the non whites are over represented and make up a signiciant number of inmates. In the main they are carribean men or young pakistani men on drugs offences. The West Indians are mainly from Jamaica (born and come here late teens) and the Paki's are born in this country. Work that one out, but in my experience, the prison in Bristol houses a large % of non whites as criminals even though they make up a small % of our local population. Statistics can be manipoulated but my eyesight cannot (to the extent that I am lying)

Apparently not all of the inmates are from Bristol and have been moved from other prisons. I shall have look and see what the demographics are for Bristol in terms of % of ethnic minority to see whether it is higher or lower that 20% (a fifth of the community)

 

update, it looks like you are right in terms of proportion if all the inmates were from Bristol which looking at some average figures is now around 13.5 % ethnic minority per overall population.

 

However there are no real statistics to support the number of immigrants having a higher crime ratio in the area than those that hold BPs or are British citizens, which include Black Brtish people.

 

Since the prison population is around 550 inmates it is not easy to access the real implications.

There are two big problems I see with trying to live according what's called for in the Koran, or the Bible, or the Torah, or . . . . . . you name it. First, it's hard to get two people to agree on what these books say and mean. It's a fair bet that Jesse Jackson and Pat Robertson know the Bible inside and out, but it's an equally safe bet they've come to diametrically-opposed, if not mutually exclusive, conclusions about what is meant.

 

Second, and while the fundamentalists will start frothing at the mouth when I say this, I don't think it's possible to know what parts of these scriptures -- if any -- were actually handed down by a divine being. Yes, I know, people will argue that such belief has to become an act of faith, but even that argument doesn't really hold up very well because there are things in the Bible (and the others as well, I imagine) that most certainly did not come from any kind of deity; not any deity that's deserving of my worship, anyway. I refuse to believe that such a being would approve of slavery (Lev. 25, 44-45), or would demand the execution of anyone trying to convert people to a different religion (Deu. 13, 6-16). These are orders that one would expect from dictators trying to grab and maintain power over others, not a god. Saying it came from a god is a way of getting people to comply.

I agree with the tenor of your post, completely. But one thing here, the Koran is the word of God, none of it was done by Man, it was all completely and utterly handed down by Allah. This is a fundamental core belief of Islam, in a way that no other religion has. BUT that said, Muslim religious authorities argue and bicker about what it means as much as Christians and Jews and Buddhists and Hindus and Rastas and humanists.
