Visa Run--I Blew IT!

Recommended Posts

Unfortunately, I have purchased my RT trip without counting the total number of days. A 1-day visa run will not suffice between visas. I need somewhere to go where I can spend at least 2 days.

The past two trips I flew to Phnom Penh for 5-day stays between visas. I had originallyl planned to do the same this coming trip, but I have since lost the desire to return to PP. None of the other cities serviced by Air Asia from BKK appeal to me either.

Therefore, I am asking advice as to where I can travel out of Thailand by bus from Pattaya for visa run purposes & spend a few worthwhile days mongering. Would Poipet be worth the while? I could fly to Hat Yai then overland to Malaysia; would this be worthwhile?

Any & all advice/suggestions appreciated.

THANX MUCH!

You'll only get an extra 15 days at a land border.

Otherwise, pay for an extension 1900B at Jomtien immigration. If you have the visa on arrival, then you only get up to an extra 10 days though.

For heaven's sake, do not expect to stay in Poipet, it is an absolute shithole.

Most Cambo border towns are pretty horrible.....

How about a trip to Vientienne?

Why not pop over to Kuala Lampur? Short flight, and can get visa over night. Great mongering at the Beach Club. Girls from China, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Africa, etc etc hangin out at the Beach Club every night.

I Just got an email notification from Air asia on a sale they are having. I could get a flight very cheap from BKK to KL and return so, like stinky says, its a nice, clean destintion that you could spend a couple of days in. p4p is available, if you still have the energy after pattaya.
