A catwalk is currently being erected along Beach Road to try to break a Guinness record. It is on the beach side but looks wide enough to bring the traffic down to just one lane.

Take some half cocked idea that might - just might - engender a tiny bit of revenue

 

& completely fuck the towns fragile infrastructure for a couple of days or so to pursue it !

 

 

Throw into the mix the ever present plague of fuckwitted song thew drivers and Rot Tours

 

& there you have it....chaos

I think that Jomtien would have been better for something like this. Just utilize the parking spaces as the catwalk area and... bang! No traffic problems in Pattaya.

It turned out that Beach Road was closed completely last evening from Central Road down to Walking Street.

 

I saw a bit of the fashion show and felt sorry for some of the models who had to walk around 2,000 metres. The ladies in narrow evening dresses would not have enjoyed the long walk; the ladies and (particularly) guys in swimwear had to endure lots of light-hearted cheering, particularly around Soi 8, and must have been glad to see the finishing line .

Well it isn't actually Songkran yet, and Pattaya is later...

 

But traffic chaaos on beach rd Pattaya is hardly news!

In Pattaya, the last day will be Monday 19th. I think rogue elements will be about with water in Soi 7-8 etc April 12th.

The actual holiday is scheduled for 13-15th April.
