Thai Festival, Battersea Park

Recommended Posts

For anyone in London, don't forget the Thai Festival is on today. The weather is dry but overcast, but I'm sure there will be things there to brighten up the gloom.

A few pictures

There were loads of stalls selling food. What I had was both good and cheap.

In one case, I wasn’t sure what was on sale.

There was also drink from the InterBev Group, one of the Festival’s sponsors

WestEast Travel had a stand.

Inevitably, there was an opportunity to buy property in Thailand (and other foreign lands)

I think Health & Safety must have heard about the Bangkok riots!

A meeting of a sub-committee of the Anglo Thai Mutual Appreciation Society, perhaps?

I loved this website address (and the slogan on the girl’s teeshirt)

There was a small stage with a variety of entertainment throughout the day.

Hi,

Nice one. I missed this but hope to make the Wimbledon one.

I've found this about the Wimbledon one (from http://www.siamthai.co.uk/)

Amthai Festival 2010 Wimbledon

The wonderful people at Amthai have done it again and organised :-

Amthai Family Free Fun Day

A regular annual event the amthai festival brings together a perfect blend of Thai music and culture.

Organised by amthai (the first Thai newspaper in the UK), this one day festival is one of the most popular Thai events in the UK. The free event will help to promote the diverse culture of Thailand.

It gives you the opportunity to experience authentic Thai culture including Thai blue music, Thai massage, Thai cultural performances, Thai products and of course Thai foods. There will also be stalls selling Thai goods and crafts.

Admission is free and is an ideal family day out.

Wimbledon Park, London SW19 7DZ Sunday 29th August 2010 11am - 7pm

All being well I won't be able to go - I'll be in Patts :thumbup
