JFK TO BKK (roundtrip)(business class)

Recommended Posts

Found this business class airfare on Aerosvit Airlines site. Have flown them before. Pretty much a plain jane airline but they have a good business class fare.

$2,302 is not bad for business class round trip. Total flying time is about 18 hours in the air. Nine hours each leg.

Never heard of them but that is a nice fare. Im paying about that for a full price economy class on ANA just so i can mile up to business for 2 flight segments.

I am sorry they cancelled that JFK-BKK nonstop on THAI Air.

The fare sounds good but Googling the airline brings up a few negatives.

This comment concerned me..

Business class DO NOT exist in their planes for long distance. They just move curtains, so it’s the same seats as economy

My efforts were minimal, I suggest you do a bit of research, and good luck.

That's a great find. It would be good if you gave us a full trip report on your Aerosvit experience if you use them in October. It would be nice to see a couple of photos inside the plane, seat, meals, etc. Maybe even a review of the flight attendants. :thumbup

I can state for sure that business class does exist as I flew it back from Bangkok in April of this year. Large confortable reclining seats which are the same as in business class of other airlines. Only real difference I noticed was that there were no tv monitors in the back of the seats. That did not really bother me as I sleep and read on flights. They did have one large screen in the front of the business class cabin. Food was as good as on other airlines.

I would have flown them from JFK to BKK in March of this year, infact booked the flight on them, but when I arrived at JFK Aerosvit called me on my cell phone and advised me that my flight would be delayed 4 hours leaving JFK. The real problem there was that I would miss my connection in Kiev and be stranded there for over 24 hours. In view of this they rebooked me on Lufthansa to Frankfurt (business class) and then from Frankfurt to Bangkok on Thai Airways (first class) so I had no problem with this as they picked up all additional charges. One other perk was they furnished limo service to JFK from anywhere in NY City for the outbound flight and upon return furnished limo service from JFK to anywhere in NY City. I flew from Virginia into LGA and they picked me up there and took me to JFK. On the return flight they picked me up at JFK and took me to a Marriott in NY City at no charge for the transportation.

The bottom line is that I will fly them again in October due to the price difference.

I as well miss the Thai Airways non-stop from JFK to BKK. Flew it several times. They still offer the service out of LAX but by the time I fly to LAX I have added 7 hours to my trip so it is just not an option.
