Out of curiousity....what do you guys pay for a case of 24 bottles of water and where do you buy it?
I buy mine at the supermarket..... it is pretty cheap.

But it is for the pernickety visitors ... generally I buy the big opaque white bottles and have a cooler. Ice is made from it and I frequently grab a cold glass, and don't have any problems. I suppose in a bar or another place you can't be sure where they get their water from and you could be subjected to tap water by a cheap bar. I have recently changed my water supplier as the old one appeared not to have basic cleaning procedures. Bottles had mold in them and there were floaters in the water.

Quite surprised that people feel they need to brush their teeth with bottled water and shower with a bulldog clip on their lips and cork up their ass.

I wonder if they swim in a pool or the sea in Pattaya.

Far riskier goings on in Pattaya than dirty water infections......

bottled water to brush my teeth and I keep my mouth shut tight in the shower so nothing gets in.

Did the bottle/brush thing on my first trip but can't say I worried about the shower, besides, your nasal passages are much better receptors. Anyway, can understand 'better safe than sorry', though I'd personally say I caught more baddies on the plane ride to and from.

  • 3 weeks later...

Even though mineral water in Thailand is cheap, using it to brush your teeth seems like a waste pf resources.

You are creating a big carbon footprint if nothing else. Alll that water needs to be transported.

You can't avoid coming into contact with contaminated water in Thailand. It will be in your consumption by some means...washed vegetables, ice in drinks, etc...so best get exposed to it as soon as possible and build up a resistance.

Almost seven years in pattaya and I have never used bottled water to clean my teeth. I actually fill up a couple of bottles from the tap and put them in the fridge to get cold !!

...Seven years in Pattaya and... It's the time served that is the key to your success.

If I lived in Pattaya and gave my body time to adjust to the new (to me) microorganisms in the water then I should not have any problems either.

It's very possible that you had some mild symptoms at the start of your stay, you may have even blamed it on something you ate, etc.

So does all this mean that it is safer to lick a girl's arse rather than her pussy as it is unlikely that she will pass contaminated water through her arse :chogdee

Unless the papaya in the som tam was kept fresh in a bowl of water...

Water bottles to brush your teeth and duct tape over your mouth in the shower. Fooking pansies ! :bow
