i would have liked to try it out,but with todays exchange rate i have to stick with coops bar on 2nd road for 300baht,sorry my budget dictates my spending limits nowadys, thanks to BB and QE2

Just remember... You get what you pay for.

500b is not all that much for a good thanksgiving dinner. Some places charge 1000 or more.

Never had the one at Tigglebitties, but if their other food is an indicator, it should be WELL worth the extra 200 baht, imho.

For us Americans, Tigglebitties is the best food in town. Their breakfast is fantastic. It's owned by an American, who's Thai wife owned and ran a restaurant in America for many years. She spent 35 years in America. You can bet the food is up to our standards.

The last two years I ate Thanksgiving dinner in British owned restaurants. If you have done this, you know, they don't have a clue what a Thanksgiving dinner should be, and they charged twice as much. I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving dinner at Tigglebitties. Since I'm already sounding like an advertisement, 55 baht beer, 60 baht spirits, 80 baht lady drinks, 300 baht barfine.

Does this dinner require an RSVP/reservation/prepayment or can we just drop in that night?

I will certainly plan to go. It sounds great...except I don't see gravy on the menu.

Sounds really good but could use a few adjustments.

Buffet should start at 11 AM and grazing should continue until 7 PM.

American football should be on continously.

Couches (not chairs) should be available for digesting food and watching American football between buffet grazings.

An American football should be available for a quick game of Smear the Queer by the younger folks.

And share the food with the Thais because the Thais made up part of the American Indians in that first thanksgiving. (as the chinese spread east over into alaska, some splintered off and went to south east asia.

I will be there for sure. I guess I can just RSVP when I get to Thailand. For those of us that are directionally challenged...is this place on the baht bus route? I am coming from 2nd, basically near the Central Festival Mall.

This will not be Buffet dinner. That's a plus for me, I like fresh food, not anything sitting in a pan for hours. Expect American foot ball to be on the tube. It's bring your own couch day, so if you want one, bring your own. :clueless

MM, there will be gravy. You don't have to sign up, but I talked with the owners wife today, she said that she would like people to show up a day or two beforehand and let them know that you will be attending so that they know how many turkeys to cook, and how much food to have on hand. Up to you, if you do that or not.

For those bring a Thai lady, they have a decent Thai menu, although it's written in English for some reason.

Calimonger, it's an ex-pat place, and well seasoned tourist place. It's not on a baht bus route. Take a ride out there the day before so that you know that you can find it. Let Newey know that you well be there for Thanksgiving and take advantage of the best American breakfast in Pattaya.

I know that maps were posted, but here are the directions. On 3rd road go south, at the first light after Pattaya Thai, turn left, it's up about a mile on the right.

  • 2 weeks later...

BMs,

The meal was really good. Martin teased me for finishing EVERYTHING on my plate and Frosty was cool enough to give me a lift to the restaurant, which is awfully hard to find. Please extent thanks to the folks who put this together. I will have to make this an annual event as the price for the food you get is quite reasonable!

Dinner was great, as was the company. Our group filled a big table. A couple of my friends were at the bar, I hated not being able to invite them to our table, but there wasn't an empty seat. Dinner was great, and...Pumpkin pie !! Woo Hoo, it's been more than two years since I've tasted pumpkin pie. Luckily my girlfriend didn't like it, and I got to eat hers as well. :clueless It would have been nice for the group to stay a bit longer, BS, and have some fun.

Sorry I missed the food fest. This is really great news about this restaurant, the one thing I've always hated about being in Pattaya was the lack of a good American breakfast!....Please tell me they serve American coffee and with any luck biscuits and sausage gravy. I'll mark this spot in my little book so I can check out next time I'm in town. :thumbup

Tigglebitties is a great bar and its also my local so nights off I normally spend there, didn't eat there for Thanksgiving as my wifes brother in law whose a US guy thats lived in Pattaya for over 30 years always cooks a massive dinner at his house every year. OK I'm not American but its a nice thing to go to once a year.

Ended up in Tigglebitties from around 10pm till drunk o clock.

Does anybody know a place that serves Chily?

Tigglebitties does have chilly, it's good, but I wish they would make it a bit spicier. A few chunks of jalapeno peppers would make it perfect. I ask for extra onions, and then add some Tabasco.
