How are the tickets given by Pattaya Police any different than the tickets given to rural counties in the United States?......I am only a partime visitor to Pattaya, but never once had any problems with the police....

I get stopped regular by the police these days, their habit being just to pull over all those on a motorcycle, and they like one of the routes I use often.

 

I like this, I have found that they wave me on when they check I have the required paperwork.... unlike many years ago when they always claimed I was speeding (no method of measuring my speed whatsoever, requiring the on-the-spot fine).

Well, I guess because I am always on foot, I never have problems.....but if they start giving tickets for j-walking then I will be shelling out for tickets big time!

So you wouldn't mind to be the subject of some racketeering and extortion? Good for you then, hope you don't mind, I see it differently.

I can see though, where you're coming from, the coppers in Belgium are scared shitless of those Moroccan gangs, so actually they do fuck all.

OTOH, if they were replaced by the Pattaya's finest, they would be on the pay role of fore mentioned thugs.

Here Here Jay, well said, I normally reply the same thing to these guys, your choice is to leave, I have never had any problems with the Police unless I am breaking the law.
