Stayed there a couple of weeks ago. The place was pretty full so I only managed to get a room in the old block which sits on the main Buakaow road. My room faced into the Chaba Hut block, so noise was not a problem. Rooms here are not so good, they are old and tired, everything gets wet in the bathroom when showering.....so get the loo roll up high!! But they do have an in-room safe......which to be honest is the only good thing about these rooms. Price was B900 w/o b/fast....add B100 if you want B/f. This is the high season rate. The hotel is very well located IMHO and has a great pool area. If you can get one of the new rooms in the new block then I would certainly go for this hotel. Staff are always pleasent, happy to take girls ID or not......that's up to you, so if you are staying with a 'known' friend, you do not have to go through this proceedure every day. Last comment.......for the price you pay for one of the old block rooms, you can get much better elsewhere but location may not be quite so prime. So all in all, I reckon it depends if you can get a new room or not. :whistling:

Stayed here a couple of times and the biggest plus is the Pool if thats your thing. However there a lot of mosquito's about. Good location and friendly staff but like zyphur says the rooms are old and tired. Food was nice and was lovely to have a nice cold cocktail while lazing about the pool. If you do decide to stay there then pay the extra couple of hundred baht for a better room.

I have to believe that is place is so very well positioned and seems to have the lot. The rates appear to start from 700 Baht low season. Any commemts from boardies please?

Forget it Jim, I paid 100 bht for my girl to use their pool last month. The only rooms worth considering are the new poolside ones, the rest are crap, and YES the Mozzies are a big problem. Opposite there is a resturant called "Jollys" and they have excellent rooms above for cheaper price, very well furnished,TV/DVD/Kettle/Micro/AC&Fan/etc only 2 drawbacks are steep stairs and no balcony.

Looking at that place myself for May/June trip.

Great garden and good food. I stayed at the top facing the street in the old building. Noise from the street was usually not a problem for me unless there was a party at the bar across the street until morning. More of a problem was the ants in the room, it had to be sprayed every time it was cleaned, and noise betwen the rooms.

The old bungalows are not wort the price, getting tired and all smelled. I heard it was for sale for a while so no money put up for maintainance. New building ok acording to my friend who has stayed at Chabba serval times.

Overall I liked it but you can get better for the money. However with the pool and location I think it is worth a look.
