A near perfect set of results this weekend. Liverpool continue their woeful run and lose at Sunderland yesterday and then City lose at Swansea today. United win at home to West Brom and go top by a point. With the easier run in out of them and City, and bearing in mind all their experience from similar situations over the years, would you bet against them retaining their crown for a record twentieth time?

Southampton are now top of the Championship with ten games left now so it's looking like they will finally make it back to the top tier of English football after an eight season absence.

Whats all the hype about?.   If you want to see real football teams play then check out great teams like Bayern Munich or Barcelona

Blackburn can. I thought it was hilarious, coming a few minutes after Sir Alex said he just wants to hang around another three years.   .

Hi,   I think the whole culture of football in England changed with the dawn of the Premiership/Sky era. Money and agents became the dominant forces. Other teams can win sometimes but how many times

.

I have nothing against him and everything against the team he plays for. ;) ..

Hi,

We can't forget King Kenny has won the first major trophy of the year. City and United looked outclassed in Europe BTW.

So I have finally deduced that you are a dippers fan. You keep your league cup, won't do you much good while your languishing in seventh place and unable to compete with the big boys. Seems like a bit of a consolation prize to win the league cup. United were outclassed the other night, I agree but there is a return leg to play yet and to be honest I really couldn't care if they got knocked out of the farcical competition that the Europa League is. Andy Carroll was as electric as ever at the weekend.

I thought Wac is a Gooner?

Thinking about it, it's unlikely he is a Liverpool fan.

Hi,

Steven Gerrard scores a hat trick as Liverpool beat Everton in the derby. Luis Suárez was the provider and is one of the best players in the League. Will Liverpool be able to hang on to him next season ?

Hi,

A good weekend for Man Utd as they go 4 points clear after demolishing Wolves. Blackburn have a good win over Sunderland and seem to be pulling clear of trouble. Man City have looked out of form for a while and it will be interesting to see how they do against a rejuvenated Chelsea tonight.

Hi,

Well I backed City at the start of the season. They still have a good chance IMO. Good performance by City last nigbt against Chelsea. Chelsea are still in the Champions League.

Liverpools growing reputation as a Cup team is confirmed as they lose to Wigan in the League. Spurs are unlucky not to beat Chelsea who seem to be concentrating on trying to win the Champions League. Newcastle look impressive against West Brom. Arsenal are on a good run and have a good chance of finishing in a Champions League qualifiying position. Everton get a great away win at Swansea and could finish above Liverpool if they continue their strong finish to the season. With Swansea and Norwich doing so well it seems that a few of the Premier League regulars are due for relegation this year.

Ref fails to award a nailed on pen at old toilet- wow what a surprise!!

That was a penalty yes, but if you do your homework and check the statistics with regard to penalties given for and against Manchester United you might be surprised with what you find out. It's actually a myth what you probably think. United will end up winning the title because they were the better team over thirty eight games, not because the referee didn't give that penalty. Some people just find that simple fact hard to accept.

Man U can win it now, I have been told the run in is easier I must confess I thought City would win it when I look at the Man U team they dont seem as good as City but Rooney and Ferguson inspire IMHO, if they do win its a great win as it were.

As an aside I feel Man Utd ducked out of the Europa and you cant blame them, Ferguson is amazing no matter what anyone says

Man Utd were exposed today as having no money, a starting line up including Evans, Welbeck, Fletcher and Anderson shows how far they are behind City.

Rooney would make the City team maybe the goalkeeper and Vidic if fit , totaly outplayed by a very expensive team if you buy the best you have the best.

Arsenal cant retain players starting with Ashly Cole trebling his wages to go to Chelsea, you cant blame the players but the team that buys the best players en masse will win the EPL.

Look at Citys bench, scary Man Uth cant compete simple as that same as Arsenal cant compete with Man utd.. best wages = best players = best team ...

Arsenal have been forced to sell Adebayor, Kollo Toure, Cole, Clichy, Nasri.. but the funniest thing about it all is Adebayor is on load to Spurs so City have made them stronger when they play their opposition but weaker when they play City as he cant play :clap2 :clap2 :clap2

Its all very funny really, City will walk the EPL , Europe will prove harder but given time they will the best equipped, Evans is not good enough at that level... same as Jenkinson at Arsenal , City are streets ahead in quality...

Its a bit daft as the richest owner who is happy to spend his money wins .. :clap1

FAF,,,, :clap2 :clap2 :clap2 But more than a bit Mickey MOuse

Don't write United off just yet, it would be foolish to do so. :thumbup

You crack me up. :D Maybe I'm counting my chickens before they are hatched but considering your change in opinion it's still funny.

Hi,

Man Utd beat a good Blackburn side and have likely won the League. Man City seem to have been hampered by infighting and the loss of form by their key players. Everton move above Liverpool. The Scousers were robbed in Newcastle by another of the Premierships finest, Atkinson. Spurs win against a good Swansea side and have a great chance of grapping third spot and automatic Champions League football. Chelsea are still flying the flag in Europe for a disappointing Premiership challenge. Ferguson needs to spend big to make inroads on the Champions League next season.

Hi,

Man Utd lose at Wigan and give City supporters some hope. The refs seem to have decided that Man Utd should only play against 10 men for most of the run in.

Did you go to the Wigan game?

The result looked so out of form and almost 'arranged' to improve the end of season run in!
