Steve Jobs dead

In many ways. But Apple was hardly original, it ripped off the interface as well, look and feel both. In so many ways, really, the iPhone is just a ripoff of 1973 Xerox Parc. Which just ripped off the radar display of WW2, really.

.

Yes and Zerox got Apple shares didn't they, but yes, correct.

A WW2 radar screen had neither Windows nor a mouse, just the CRT.

And Apple had a one-button mouse and Microsoft had three buttons. And the iPhone doesn't have a mouse.

And so on. Prezackly.

Marconi invented the Ipad?

Yeah, sort of.

I think Jobs in the past few years turned into an EXTRAORDINARY genius and visionary, and even before that was a special sort of human bean. But he was working with all the collected tools since... well, since Marconi if you wish. Since that other iTie, whassisface, the Vinci guy?. Jeez, I was just thinking today of the first transistor radio, and the first portable calculator. Big, BIG deals in my lifetime.

The iPhone (and other iStuff) is brilliant evolution, but in the end it's evolution, yeah.

Yes..........The 'picky' can trace a sequence to any invention, innovation or discovery and dilute its' inventor's or its' innovator's or its' discoverer's achievement....'On the shoulders of giants' etc.

Picky. pedantic......predictable. What can we find to disagree about today?

The ipod don't count against say, the discovery of 'Dark matter'. ....... That something like 90% of what we thought we knew about space....... we didn't..............But for now it's the ipod that's had a greater impact on our lives.

Worth some applause.

But you're right to put the applause into perpective. It just seems so ................Joeish.

When did Wac say anything about "wiping them out"?

All that's needed is meaningful regulation. For example, an SEC head that actually believes in doing his job, as opposed to the clown that was in charge during the Bush administration.

Hi,

Nice to see somebody understands plain English.
