Last november i bought a copy Omega seamaster watch,no problems at all till last week when the bracelet strap broke (bought the watch in pattaya )

I've tried several watch repair shops in my home town with no luck to get it repared.

I seem to need a old fashion jewellers the ones that can do a solder repair,so my plan is to bring the watch with me when i'm back in pattaya this november to see if i can get it repaired while i'm in town.

Anyone got any idears where i might take it ?

You say its a copy so probably cheaper to get another one. I certainly wouldnt get one from the same place if it packed up so quickly. there are two very good watch repair guys in soi buakaow, near the corner of Pattaya Klang, on the left side walking south towards pattaya tai. I know a couple of people with expensive, genuine watches who have gone there and been pleased.

Hi,

As others advise, and I agree, take it to Sarah.

She repaired a watch for me and it that had a weight come of the auto winding part.

Also, I remember she kept the links if you asked her to shorten a bracelet.

I thinks she would be the best bet.

She, rather the son fixed mine for a few hundred baht. just ask first ref cost.

Regards,

+1 for me, used one of these guys last year to repair a strap on an original Ellesse watch. Cheap as chips as well if my memory serves me correctly.

In Tops on Central road between Beach Rd and 2nd Rd there is a watch and eyeglass shop.

The guy in there has kept my Citizen watch alive when nobody in the states could.

With the exception of the extremely expensive watches, most watches made today including the fakes share the same group of parts.

Sorta true

Only if they are quartz (battery) ones, and then not always

Automatics, well, unlikely unless your the owner of one of the few (semi luxury) brands that use unmodified stock movements

But if your watch is a 'Sexton Blake' you will be very hard pressed getting a repair in the West

.
