non immigrant multi entry visa

Recommended Posts

hi all,

I have a multi entry non immigrant o visa, and i would like to know when it expires is the only place i can get a new one back in the UK?

Or is there somewhere closer i can go to like hong kong, singapore etc.

I am not married so cannot qualify on that count, also i am over 55 but do not have sufficient funds in the bank to qualify on that either.

I know i can go back to the uk but that is an expensive option, any replies or advice would be most welcome.

You can get a double entry tourist visa from Laos, if you go to the Queen Vic on Soi 6 and talk to the visa lady, they run regular trips and are good value for the money. The visa will eventuate to 150 days for you. If you really want the Non O visa - multi entry, you will have to go back to the UK.

Probably. These are not easy to get, and definitely you can't get that particular multiple anywhere near Bangkok. Multiple *tourist* visas are much, much easier.

Dont know if this will help you but I have a small bussines here in Patts. The first time I got an agent to setup my Non B 3 month visa, as the first time you get the B visa apparently it is only valid for 3 months. She then wanted another 20,000B for a year non B visa. I thought this was a tad expensive so I did some research.

Ended up going to the UK for a week, ticket cost 26,000B, got the visa Non B Multi entry in Cardiff Consulate for £110 or lets say 5,500B thats a saving of 14,500B, whilst I was in the UK I withdrew some cash and am bringing that back with me (I leave to come back home tonight) that has saved me around £250 or approx 12,500B due to saved transfer fees and the banks rip off exchange rate, plus I had some bussines to do here anyway so all in all I am not far off evens with the flight taken into account.

P.S. It was absolutely no hassle getting the Non B Multi in Cardiff and have met many other expats that use this consulate in Cardiff for that reason.

In that kind of circumstance, where you are employed or similar, and going for the one-year non-imm, you do not *usually* have to go back to your home country if you're already in Thailand. Usually, you can pick up the right visa at a nearby country. Sometimes, you can even just change your visa over in Bangkok.

If I'm not mistaken, there is a *requirement* to get non-imm in your home country, but this is often, even routinely waived.

Perhaps make your mind up time.

Either get an extension based on retirement, or do the quick flight to the UK, and have another hassle free 15 months.

Im sure many do not have funds for extension due to retirement of non o imm visa, but many still get this in Pattaya im sure.

Maybe cost you about 22000 bhts? ask about in Patts.

You do need your funds in a Thai bank ,I set up a SO back in UK for £1500 month taking money from my HSBC bank Uk to my HSBC Bangkok bank ,by my internet banking ,mind you you have to be a Premier member with HSBC.

Then sent copy of this to UK Embassy in BKK who issued me with letter saying i had the funds.

But also you must have evidance where you live in Thailand ,rent contract ,house book ,ect, ect

If you have a legal operating business in Thailand and first Non-B visa & WorkPermit. Then live becomes much easier.

You do not need to get anything from outside. I have not been out from Thailand since 2007 on my last business trip.

Every year, about one month before visa expires I present business documents with renewal application - and get anther one year extension; no travel.

I think the fees to pay is something like Tb 2,000 (Vary province to province).

It was mentioned at my Expats Club meeting today that HSBC Thailand have sold all of their interests to The Bank of Ayudhya. This may impact you.

Also a few others that posted how HSBC offered a free way to transfer funds to Thailand from other countries.
