Hi guys,

I'm no stranger to Thailand, having spent the winters here for the last decade, but in January I'll be making my first ever trip to Pattaya.

I'm looking for a clean friendly guest house that's in easy walking distance of the nightlife, where I can take the GF (a former BG who has an occasional liking for other girls..) and proper double beds that are big enough for three (not two singles pushed together)

Aircon, a room safe and good general security are a must, pools & restaurants are not important.

- suggestions?

Much depends upon your budget for the room, i have had similar likes to yours in the past, and i still like the Residense Garden, its about a 10 minute walk from WS, i dont mind the walk as for me its not far

Stayed at the Armageddon on LK Metro in October, Very big room (Galaxy room) balcony at front and side, TV, stereo, DVD, air con, fridge and 2 ceiling fans. Around B900/night.

Good location for heading out in any direction.

Booked it again for April

Where exactly is Billabong? Unless I missed it, there's no link to a map or street address..

LK Metro, on the inner corner.

It isn't too big a Rd.

Haven't tried it myself but got good reports about the Butchers Arms in Soi Buakow at 850 baht a night for their best rooms. close to Lk metro. I have booked for February and will give feedback on my return.

Never stopped there ,but rooms look very good for price ,also great location

Good reviews on trip advisor

Have any body stopped there ,I may try it next time thats if my lady will change from Sabi Resort which she now loves after our last trip

Hi there Mick. Just a suggestion. Drop into the Sabai Inn and look at the rooms there. High season 1215 B and low season 999 B baht for a superior room ( there are standard at lower) and I find this a better deal that the Lodge or Resort in Hight Season. Dont forget that you have full access to the pools across the road for this price.
