Just wanted to request information from folks on following for preferred hotels -

 

Preferences : Wifi, balcony (unfortunately i have habit of smoking, which increases while in LoS so would really prefer one), in-room safe, bathtub.

 

Would really look for hotels having Wifi and balcony as a requirement.

 

Preferred area - between beach rd and 2nd road.

 

Of course, this being peak period availability would be main concern! But I would like to get some names first to explore..

As another poster mentioned your price range would help others in giving you information as would the dates of your stay. If you plan on an extended stay, you could consider a serviced apartment which in turn could aid in your price range selection.

A li'l background here. My (more-or-less) usual hotel for past many many visits had informed they can provide room only till 28th. So I was on lookout for Dec28-Jan02. This being a peak-peak period I was concerned. My hotel has eventually confirmed room for my entire stay. I am still exploring some options as (a) to have couple of alternatives, as in absence of that once in Patts I don't ever explore any places and next visit again inquire same hotel (b ) from past few years exp, I know @X'mas and later, the beach road gets very busy and vehicles get stuck in the traffic every single day in eve/night, so I felt staying somewhere close to action (read WS especially) i.e. between Pty Klang towards WS, e.g. soi13 or so, would probably make more sense for me than towards northern side of town.

I had requested one of my friend (also a BM here) and he was kind enough to visit Sandy Spring to ask for me.

 

Reg price, I am aware all hotels have predefined spl rates or hike their rates bet'n Dec20-Jan10 or so.. so I was probably looking at ~2000 bt +/- something.. for a place with (most of) my requirements.

Secrets has rooms with a balcony and free wifi in the room and in the bar for 1000/night. 100 meters from Walking Street on Soi 14. No pool, no lift.

Last two Christmas's i had the Sandy Spring and loved it,

 

Yes the beach road trip in the evening is a pain but its a nice walk to Walking street

 

This year i have the Residence garden for a change
