Panthip Plaza is worth the trip from Pattaya. I bought enough software to pay for my trip from USA. OK prices on hardware. ;D ;D ;D

Hollywood IT Mall, just round the corner from Panthip, is considered by some to have a better range of software.  You should be able to get a Thai keyboard in just about any IT shop.

Failing that, walk down from Panthip to the Indra Regent market.  You won't get the software you are after but you will be able to get a bigger suitcase!

Happy hunting,

Tom

The CD/DVD store on second road just north of Pattaya South had a software disk for learning Thai script that also has a number of interactive tests and games on it with sound for 180 baht.  The Bookazine store in Royal Garden Plaza sells an English - Thai software dictionary which also vocalizes the words in Thai but that was more expensive at about 690 baht.

I didn't manage to find anything else, software-wise, in Pattaya but then again, looking for software wasn't my main objective for being there ;D

Panthip is great.  The software is 100 baht but they will try to sell it to you for 130 or more.  Some places if you buy 5 cd's for 500 baht you get one free.  There is a program called Thai Script or something like that from Courage Software that is not bad.  Bought it at Panthip for 100 baht.  If you are into computers, games (playstation etc.) and movies you have to experience this place.

Agreed, my friend who lives in BKK took me to Panthip and I was truly amazed at the place.  I brought so much software and DVD films/concerts etc to last me ages and the savings paid for a good part of my trip to LOS.  Must visit Panthip if you are into PCs and DVDs
