Actually there are 14 pictures of the interior and 2 from the balcony...

Doesn't actually show any pictures of the specific condo for rent. Just being picky as I won't be in position to jump for a couple years but you need pictures of the interior of the condo.

The fit out of a condo drives the rental cost, plus hot side cold sde baht bus etc..

Gabors looks a fair price, the web says 10/15 mons to walking st.. thats way over the top Its 5 to 8 mins.

VT2 is not a bad location, room looks ok , should go for the price or there abouts..

The site describes a typical hotel room as being 15-25 m2 - I don't think that's true for typical high-rise modern hotels in Pattaya e.g. Hilton or Holiday Inn. The room can best be described as a large room, or a small suite - it's certainly not a large suite (a basic room at the Hilton is bigger).

Still too expensive and not really that great either, much cheaper and better around, just look on local rental company websites, this is just Gaborologist desperate for money

Absolute right.... and agree.... but not the same pricing scheme....my dad paid many years ago in the Cliff 11.000 baht / day.... my mate stayed in the Sheraton last year reported me something similar....

For only 200 dollars a week and utilities, how much space and luxury do people expect?

My hotel in BKK when I go up for a couple days is 3,300 a day with tax and he wants 6,000 a week.

It's nothing to do with price, only the size of the room. It's no bigger than a hotel room in a similar styled building.

I think at The Cliff they'd describe it as a mini-suite. :thumbup

This is NOT a hotel room, this is a condo.....however....the dimensions of the hotel rooms worldwide...

The Sizes of Hotel Rooms

What are the usual hotel room sizes? The average size of standard guestrooms at budget or economy hospitality service providers is around 300 to 400 feet square. In first class hotels, the usual size of guestrooms is around 650 square feet. For the comfort of those who want to occupy suites, the size of these rooms is between 800 to 950 feet. Economy or budget hotels usually have 20 to 50 rooms while the mid range hospitality service providers have 100 to 300 rooms. First class hotels have 500 to 6,000 guestrooms and suites.

Because no any links from Bigmick, I post some links popped up on the Google on the View Talay search. ( look the prices )

Then you should have compared it against condos and not hotels.

I'm not interested in hotel rooms worldwide, only in Pattaya. Bottom line is that your room is smaller than even the smallest rooms offered at The Hilton - a local hotel of similar size and design.

I have a 60 square meter condo with a separate bedroom located in the Lalana complex on Soi Chaiyapruk. The grounds and the swimming pools are spotless. It is a gated complex and security is second to none. I had it temporally rented to a friend of mine for 9,600 baht per month until he found a permanent place. I am now using myself it for my infrequent on the road trips. It's nice to have a getaway place.
