Looking for a different hotel

Recommended Posts

I Have always stayed in Soi 7 or 8 Usually at one of the Flippers or Eastiny group, they have all increased their prices so I am looking for a change of hotel/area on next trip for 10 days in March. At the moment I am thinking of one of the following hotels AA hotel Soi 13 , Natures View Soi Buakhao or Opey De Place Soi Lengkee all seem to fit my requirements.

I am looking for a room rate of around 1000 Baht a night and a swimming pool. Any positive or negative comments on the above hotels would help also if they are girl friendly or any other suggestions which I can add to my list would be helpful.

Pattaya Bay Resort on 2nd Road behind Avenue Mall.Good breakfast is included and restaurant is beside rooftop pool and good location.

you're looking at 1500 in March... so not an option as the poster wanted under 1k...

... and btw: they've changed their policies on payment... they want a credit card on making the reservation and want the entire payment upfront...

I've been staying at Keerati Homestay on LK Metro this trip and love it. 1100 baht for a huge room with kitchen. Their site has silly prices so call them. They have a sign with a 750 baht/night special you may want to ask about. You get full access to the LK Metropole pool, gym, & sauna.

Sutus Court is about a 5 minute walk or less from Natures View. They have 3 categories of room. I stayed in the most expensive rooms in the newest building where the cost was 850 baht a night in August. Nice, clean sizeable rooms with large clean basic bathrooms. Two swimming pools are onsite. Wifi was about as good as I have had anywhere in Thailand, plenty of hot water with an even flow, but the water pressure was a bit weak on the top floor (7th floor). No room safes, but individual wooden lockboxes behind the front desk are available for no extra charge. Not luxury, but excellent for the price.

Stay here & practically guaranteed not to get a good night's sleep or even an afternoon snooze to recharge ur batteries. The constant noise from the traffic'll literally drive u up the wall!! This from a couple of recent threads from bm's who gave it a try becuz of it's location. Why learn the hard way??!!

I've seen/heard Soi 8 is really quiet now... so why move?

Nature View... do you research... I've heard nothing but bad about that place... YMMV

PBR... Construction on the front and back side (read soon)... an avoid for the next 2-3 years... (see the PBR thread)... I usually stay there and am looking for another place too... sigh...

Have you considered renting a condo instead?

That ball-park price can probably give you some good options for View Talay 6, my favorite location on Beach Rd next to Central Festival mall.

Just do a search on condos and you'll find a variety of reviews (sprinkled with some entertaining "alternative" views) for Dancewatchers and others renting units in that building.
