What a rip off. He doesn't look a bit like Gabor.

I think it looks more like lovedoggie ... But I would have to see him dance to be sure.

Why waste your time on this shite when you could be watching porn?

That looks like a good movie. Would go to the cinema and watch it but would look like a cunt with no date to go with.

Only if you book one of the love seats. Unless you're a fat bastard, of course. :clueless

I watched it in 3D last night. The best part was the trailer for Life of Pi. :glare:

I think I may have read the book...A ship sinks and a kid has to survive by killing and eating the other survivors, including his Mother, but throughout the book this is rationalised by him imagining them to be zoo animals?

Maybe the wrong book come to think of it..

EDIT = Just checked. It is the same book....Hope I didn't ruin the ending...The tiger was his Mother.....I think

PETER JACKSON has Sold OUT !!!

It was obvious to me that Jackson or maybe all of the executive producers are looking to ca$h in BIG on the rest of JRR Tolkien's masterpiece.

If I hadn't already opened my three LOTR blu-ray/DVD packs I'd take the fuckers back for a refund.

Ironically enough, when I returned home Big Bang Theory was on with the episode about The Ring they found in a box.

Young Bilbo reminds me too much of Regis Philbin, I wonder if he's Jewish.

SPOILER alert, if you read further and haven't seen the movie, this was your warning

The singing is definitely mentioned in the book, but I really didn't think they'd do it for the movie, FIRST turn-off for me.

It just gayed it up way too much for me, and then there's the fuckin' gender bender dwarf which leads me to believe queers are definitely being forced on society these days.

It seems every sitcom either have a queer in the cast IRL or on-screen.

Then when it abruptly ended I realized they're gonna squeeze THREE films out of the one book. BASTARDS !

The way some scenes were drawn out to me means they're just padding to get 3 films out of one book, such as the long riddles session between two characters, or the lengthy gathering of the dwarfs for dinner and their singing while getting dinner ready.

Then there's the stupid characters which will no doubt become action figures, such as the overly drooping chin of the goblin king.

The stupid jokes in the dialog, such as when a character is approached and asked "What will you do?" and after being gutted he says "That'll do !"

No one in our theater laughed at that, but it was obviously meant to be funny.

You'd think this film was geared for children up until the point where the Orc leader destroys his right-hand-man.

Peter Jackson, you fooled me once, but you won't be getting any more of my ca$h

He was great back when he was doing ART like Bad Taste, Heavenly Creatures, even King Kong was pretty good, or The Frighteners.

Now he's just gotten greedy and IMHO lost something along the way.

YES, I do, but the film is rated PG-13

The Orc being slain probably was closer to getting it an R rating.

It's so common in films these days for the failed henchmen to be killed or maimed by the leader. It helps desensitize everyone to violence so they can shoot up a room full of children later.

Yeah, that's exactly it. Violent movies and videogames are to blame. Never mind that the shooter was mentally unstable.

Yeah, I'm sure violent films and games don't fuel the unstable mind !, DOH !

And what of the vast majority of people that watch and play them? Blaming senseless violence on movies, music, and games is absolutely stupid.

Do you believe children are affected by watching porn?

I saw the movie last night and i fell asleep half way through. It was predictable at times and i found it some what boring at times also. It is not as well thought through as the first film. Its about 2 and half hours long

Believing that violent media doesn't feed the minds of warped individuals is equally as stupid.

It was actually 2 hours and 49 minutes, but I am really pissed that they're gonna stretch the single book across three f'in movies.

I'm DONE with any work of Pete Jackson.

Into insanely shooting people? I don't see the connection.

Work with me here. If you don't have an open mind about the subject we will never get there!

Jackson's choice was two movies. The studio wanted three.

If left out all the singing and trivial bullshit they could have made it ONE movie.

Mark my words, there will be a goblin king action figure.

Perhaps something like this.

I feel violence would have a similar impact.

That seems like a case of bad parenting more than anything else. If kids that age are too stupid to understand that sex and violence depicted in videos, movies, and games aren't representative of real-world behavior then it should be blamed on parents. Besides, he kid in the article you mentioned was too young to be seeing those things legally.

Pulling back, the kid in the article you mentioned was 12. The shooter in the Connecticut tragedy was 20. Those are very different situations.

Did you watch porn as a kid? I watched some movies when I was under 18. Did you go out raping girls? I didn't.
