good Hotel in the middle of the action

I will be in pattaya for the first from Bangkok soon, sneaking out for two days after business meeting, it's a discovery trip for future ones. I would like to stay in the middle of the action so I can't see everything that is available, price between 800 to 1500 bht, please help.

 

Has anyone have experience this, I'm black and while in Bangkok last year I did not get such a great reception from the ladies looks like they were afraid of me what gives? is it me or am i just paranoid?

Thank you guys for the input, maybe I was shelshock being my first time there because I had never seen or experience anything like that. At the end of the trip I did get cozy with a bar made and two or three of them did come around but it was too late. This time I want to experience everything, this site have all the great info.

 

You guys gave me more confidence and it's true I don't care about the reason they did it I just want to have a great time next time which coming in seven days & 10 hours. The Flipper lodge sounds great but would I have to take a bht bus to go Pattaya 1 or 2 where I understand everything is. Do you get dirty look from hotel staff when you have a girl in tow? How bad is it cause I'm little shy.

One nice thing about Pattaya the night life is in a compact area. Taking a baht bus from the Flipper Lodge to Pattayaland I & II is about 2 minute ride a little less if there is no traffic. Flipper has free maps, get one.

 

Soi 8 where the Flipper is located has more night life then you can handle. Check out the Alamo Bar, soi 8 friendly people. Gary the owner is around from 5 PM.

1) You'll be taking the baht buses all the time (they pretty much just drive in a circuit).  Just pay the 10 baht (and no folks, I don't want to hear the 5-baht vs. 10-baht argument again).

 

2) The hotel staff won't be interested in your girl one way or the other:  everyone understands what the deal is.  They will most likely keep the girl's ID overnight and return it in the morning (this is for your protection and is no big deal).  If you fall in love and bring her back again to your room, they'll recognize her and won't ask for her ID.

 

3) Shyness is a major problem though as there's a tendency to lose it on trips to Thailand.  You might consider insuring it against loss, though the insurance company (bastards that they are) sometimes argue that while you might lose shyness you also gain a new outlook on life so you will have actually gained more than lost - and even owe the company!

From what TG's have told me in the past, it's nothing racial. They're probably just worried about the size of your dick. You know the reputation you guys have in that department.

 

Seriously, it does happen. I know a TG who turned down a black guy for that very reason.

 

Makes me feel better about my limited dimensions.

There are several good hotels in Soi 13 about 1000 Bht per night it's about half way between Flipper Lodge & Walkin St so not far to go either way.  BigDusa 1 to 2 minutes from Flipper Lodge to Misty's etc you have to be joking.

I timed it this past Sunday around noon and it was less than 2 minutes from Soi 7 to Walking St.
