I believe the server is waiting for the wonder............ :ninja:

It lags a bit for me at times G, maybe 10 seconds tops though. Might be your own server and/or connection.

For some unknown reason, the server bogs down around noon (Thai time) until 1pm.

You aren't imagining things!

  • 4 weeks later...

I am getting a lot of instances of waiting and waiting for the Pattayatalk server.

Seems random, sometimes it hangs up for 10-60 seconds.

Others it just never finishes the operation.

Then it is okay for a while.

I don't think it is high load due to the time I am on-line.

It sometimes seems to be going back-and-forth to www.gravatar.com/

I've been stymied by this problem for months. Periodically, the server gets bogged down doing processing in many PHP threads, making it unresponsive to user traffic.

In my experience, it seems to occur around midnight EST (noon here).

My server company is aware of the problem, and they will take action on it when it occurs.

Sorry!

I was thinking it might be that there were multiple requests for heavily pictorial threads.

And obviously I am seeing it around this time too.

But you are right, I have experienced interminable issues later in the Thai day....

It must be taking longer for the NSA to check things over and we can't blame you for that. :D

I am also having issues for the last few hours, even though had little difficulties in the past when others did. Today the server refused to get into html mode and do any type of editing. Figured it was due to me getting rid of Chrome, so I re-installed it. Ironically it seems to be working now.

I have had a couple of times in the last few days where I just get a message saying something to the effect that "you don't have permission for that" and I am not allowed to open anything. It shows up for everything I try to open including my own "Profile" or "Content"!

I don't know if I'm on Mod Watch but the board is acting very strange tonight. Posts not showing when I click view new content until hours later than when they were posted.

It's nothing personal.

The server needs a slap.
