He left a team that won the league by about 13 points.   Everton are above Man U , despite Moyes taking their best player of last season to Man U. Moyes isn't up to the job. He never could motivat

Do you think Man U would be 14 points behind the Leaders at this stage of the season if Fergie was still Manager?

So we can assume your in depth analysis and solutions for my team are based on this riding statement then ?

Hi,

Villa seem to have put up another good performance in London. Didn't see the game but Benteke scored again. Villa look like they will finish in the top half this season.

I can't be arsed waiting for the transfer window to close before I make my prediction. I've decided that I really don't care what Suarez, Looney and Bale do.

1. Man City

2. Chelsea

3. Man U

4. Spurs

5. The scum

May the best team win.

I'll take ManU for the title at the 3/1 that's on offer with SkyBet, and 25/1 on Hughes to be the first managerial casualty (also with SkyBet).

Hi,

At the end of the season I'm sure the usual suspects will be telling us their winning bets. Bit like some of their share dealing. :clap1

Tom, 3/1 good odds for Man U!

You don't forsee a rebellion against Di Canio before Stoke's meltdown?

Big game for the Potters tonight.

Need a result against Palace to get off the mark as Man City and Arsenal around the corner.

Maybe even put a few passes together (with our feet preferably not our heads! :ninja: ) ...

De Canio would be second on my list. I'm not a fan of Hughes at all - not convinced he can manage changing-room politics.

One of the best deals this season was Villa keeping Benteke, Spuds fans resigned to loosing the Welsh wizard so will see if they get into Europe next year, the Arse look like a nothing again, Man U will still take some knocking off the top but I guess is not rocket science either Chelski or Man City.

Hammers top half again. :lsmile

Hi,

There are still rumours that Liverpool will sell Suarez and buy Benteke. I hope Benteke stays at Villa as they will give everyone a good game with him in the team. Financial troubles in their unrelated businesses may force some owners to sell even when they dont want to. I think Chelsea bought Willian just to piss off Spurs and AVB. When you are that rich you can afford to do petty stuff like that.

Aye, but we can still hope that he's another Torres or Shevchenko ... :thumbup

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stoke fought back from a goal down against Crystal Palace to provide manager Mark Hughes with a win in his first home game in charge of the club.

We still suck, but we may survive!

I find it funny how after 1-2 games, punters know who will survive and who will go down.

The harsh English winter awaits!!!

Hi,

Hughes may get Stoke playing more attractive football in the long term. Not great games yesterday, I think everyone is waiting for the big one on Monday.

I was briefly watching some nonsense football show over the weekend where Brad Friedel (who has probably seen more managers than most) , when asked "Who is the worst manager you have played under" remarkably candid and quick, came up with Mark Hughes!

Hi,

Cardiff would have been good for a night out last night as they beat Man City. Let's hope it becomes a fortress this season as it's nice to see the "big teams" get a kicking now and then. Kompany seems to be a critical player for City and they lack organisation in defence without him. I've got stick on other forums for saying that Hart is a poor keeper. He had a few good seasons but was poor last season and has been poor for England this season already. Seems a nice lad but maybe success has gone to his head ? Mourinho is playing his usual mind games with Moyes on the run up to tonights game. Mourinho had a great record against Fergie and it will be interesting to see how Moyes does against him. Wellbeck seems an improved player for Utd and with RVP should get plenty of goals. Will Rooney make the move to Chelsea ?

Hi,

Poor game with both sides reluctant to attack. Chelsea will be happy with a draw and Moyes will be happy he didn't lose his first game at Old Trafford. Rafa would have had abuse if his Chelsea team played like this but Jose is loved by Chelsea fans.

I feel for the fans that paid good money to go and watch this at old trafford , a famous football quote " We were robbed " .

Diabolical game......!

And then they had to travel all that way home .... :ninja:

Hi,

Too true. People come from all over the World for games at OT. Many of them must be really pissed off with that game.

What doesn't make any sense, is for Chelsea to leave Lakuka on the bench and then sub Torres for the last 30 min.'s

You would think that if Lakuka could pull a hat-trick at OT (as a sub no less) with West Brom for support last season then a goal in this game even off the bench was possible... This game was more about "mind-games" then capturing points.

Hi,

Maybe Jose was saying to Rooney "the spot is there for you"?

He was just packing the midfield, and main concern was not to lose; which he achieved. At the moment his 1st concern is with Friday's super cup; where I reckon you'll see what he considers his first XI. I really don't think he actually wants Rooney for Chelsea, and it wouldn't surprise me if the Whillian signing was just an Abromovic slap in the face for Levy, for being an arsehole over Modric and others! They have an awful lot of "quality" players there at the moment, playing in similar positions, and would expect a few to be going out on loan before the window closes. Rooney is going nowhere tho' ! :thumbup

Hi,

That looks right. I like to see the top players and most of the top ones seem to be going elsewhere this window. Falcao and Cavani are two players I'd have liked to see in the Prem. Bale will be a loss as well. Spurs and Man City have brought in some exciting new players. Lets hope some of the others buy some big names before the window closes.

Kaka would be interesting for us at United, but I think Italy would be his country of choice. He would be quite a sum for a fairly old player, but we do need a bit of class in midfield.
