City is just poor performance though and could be improved upon. Liverpool and even moreso Arsenal (bearing in mind their Euro commitments) have no cover in depth; should injuries and inevitable bans occur. Both of these teams have proven to be strong for only part of the season in recent years. I seem to remember Arsenal "blowing" everything in the space of about 10 days (all 4 competitions) not that long ago. :allright

nice analysis

He left a team that won the league by about 13 points.   Everton are above Man U , despite Moyes taking their best player of last season to Man U. Moyes isn't up to the job. He never could motivat

Do you think Man U would be 14 points behind the Leaders at this stage of the season if Fergie was still Manager?

So we can assume your in depth analysis and solutions for my team are based on this riding statement then ?

Yes Liverpool will run out of steam as will Arsenal once they've played enough Champions League Matches.

Spurs have the depth of Squad to endure 4 competitions but AVB is lacking in how to use them.

Hi,

Arsenal seem to be buying more German players which should help their durability. Even the young guy they played recently is German. I can't remember his name at this minute but he looked good.

Compatriot Huth will sort him out at the Britannia! :buzzsaw :behead

Hi,

Ta, good player. Huth is a bit of a tank commander alright. :D

Similar to the problem with Moyes at MU. He really has not figured out how to shuffle his players for all of the extra matches they must play. Or so it seems to me.

He is being told what to do at the moment because they're doing so badly. Too much money at stake to let him think he's running the show.

Hi,

City overcome a difficult away trip with Kun again outstanding. Southampton prove their form is no fluke with a disciplined performance at OT. Arsenal and Chelsea remian in good form and win home games. West Brom continue good run and are unlucky not to take the 3 points at Stoke. Liverpool not at their best as they are held by 10 man Toon. Spurs have a difficult away game at Villa today. C'mon Villa. :bhappy

Chelsea and City are getting a head of steam up....I can't see past them two...

Phil Jones at man utd looks worse and worse each game, he was meant to be great at Blackburn...

Hi,

Most players are not good enough to play for the big teams. Maybe he is one of them ?

Villa will want revenge for Spurs' 4 nil win last month knocking them out of the League Cup.

So far Spurs have only once managed to score two goals in a EPL match. Simply not good enough after spending @ 100 Mil on new Players.

Come on you Spurs.

Life is good!

Had a few lads over to watch last night's games. I predicted 2-2 Newcastle vs Liverpool. Even at half time at 1-1 and Newcastle with 10 men I stuck with my pick. A mate had brought over five bottles of very nice wine so I knew next time I go to his gaffe I would be buying anyway so I took 3-1 for bottles of Barolo on Toon-Kop finishing 2-2. :bhappy

He then wants double or nothing on Spurs finishing the season higher than Arsenal.

Sorry Papps, I look forward to sharing the six bottles of B! :lsmile

The problem with Jones and to an extent Smalling, is they are being played out of position, for most of the time, and used as "jack of all trades". Both were out and out central defenders, and rarely get the chance to play in that position…in hindsight they would have fared better out on loan, as they should be the future centre pairing. We do need cover though, for the two incumbant "potential crocks". Both Wes Brown and John O'Shea suffered from the same syndrome in the past.

On another note; Expect Zaha to go out on loan/sold having being caught "porking" Mo's daughter ! :bhappy

Hi,

Is that true ? Wouldn't hold that against him but I'm sure David would see it differently.

Confidence is a big thing for players at this level.

Look at Ramsey for Arsenal. He was scared to shoot last season. This time around he bagged a few goals early in the season and has new-found belief in his talents.

Bale's development last campaign at Spurs another example of the importance of confidence.

On the flip side, Torres has never been the same player for Chelsea as his time at Liverpool where he was brilliant.

Doubts starting to emerge in the minds of many Man U players -- a dangerous sign.

Moyes still doesn't know his best team, nor how to shuffle his squad to keep the bench happy.

Rumours, but with enough smoke to bring out a string of very public denials! :llaugh

Hi,

Never believe anything until it's been officially denied. :thumbup

Ramsey suffered from recovering his confidence from his bad injuries. He did not trust his body yet. This year he does.

Hi,

Great goal indeed. Palace look certainties to go down. Spurs were great at the weekend, looked tight at the back and got a few goals.
