Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

Why would anyone think the new hospital will be any better

I am not sure anyone has said that.

But many think the extra competition could improve the overall price and facilities...........

At the moment, the BPH has most of the market to itself in the area.

The English think the hospitals are a rip off and the Americans think they are cheap. The bottom line is their business model is different

Its a business like a hotel

They have no ethics

They take no responsibility

They aren't accountable

Like i said, they are different, thats all!

And the Thai doctors are a pile of pants

USA Citizens must scratch their heads and wonder where it all went wrong when they compare prices for Hospital treatment.

They will pay as long as it's cheaper than in the USA :bhappy

Bangkok Pattaya Hospital is built on the strength of it. God bless the USA :thumbup

Remember, you are paying for the NHS, or whatever it is now called in the UK. Not saying that single payer is the wrong way to do it. Just don't think that your health care is "free."

What we pay is Chicken Feed for a fantastic service.

Isn't USA trying to get with the program finally? A bit embarrassing for USA when Cuba has better system, lol.

I wasn't thinking of fees paid directly to NHS. What about taxes going toward NHS operations?

My mother is like the bionic women with the amount of stuff she has had done in the last couple of years ... eyes, hips, knees, back. As far as she's concerned it's all free - even her prescriptions.

Cheaper is an understatement. $1200 for ER and two nights in a private room (no joiner fee for teelak, hehe), nursing care, I.V. meds and meds to go.......our health care system in America was f'ed up before Obamacare and not any better since. I am fairly conservative but still think we need a single payer system.
