NY - Manchester - BKK - NY

Recommended Posts

I'd like to find a cheap and easy way to fly from New York to Manchester, then on to BKK and home to New York. I was hoping someone knows a secret that I've been missing on my online searches.

It's looking like a one way to MAN then MAN - BKK - NY on Etihad is the best option (should be less than US$2000)

I found that a one way ticket is way over priced. What do they want for a round trip?

About $4000 using a Star Alliance Round the World!

I've always found 2 seperate return fares to be the best option for that sort of itenary Sailfast, provided longer journey time acceptable for the return from BKK to NYC via Manchester, and physical transfer of luggage at that particular change point is OK with you. Just a quick check using Lufthansa or AA/BA for NYC-MAN section would be £564 and Qatar for the MAN-BKK section at £441; would give a total of £1005 or about $1515; all "cattle class", & depending on when you fly. (Qatar prices vary quite significantly with the day of the week, but all is clear on their website)

This is the best place to start:

I tried that from a link in another (I think your post) thread. It gave me a great ticket with Etihad, but I could not book that flight through Etihad's website and I was afraid to book it through Myfly.com

BigD,

Have you tried this method?

The last time I didn't complete a round trip ticket, and tried to fly out of the UK on another flight I was detained, my passport taken while I waited for some sort of decision and then given a rash of shite.

I guess that you will need to factor in the cost of a U.K. boss tko
