Where are they now ? I remember there was a big one on the RHS heading toward Big C, and another near Rungland Village. So where are the others located these days within a few kilometers from the Buakao area ?

The first one you mentioned is now a market, because Pattaya is very short of markets!!

If you head from the Dolphin roundabout towards Sukhumvit along Pattaya Nua, there's a petrol station on the left.

Cheers. There seems to be a real shortage of Filling stations these days. There used to be one just over the traffic lights by Tops on Second Road, but it closed a few years back. I am surprised considering that there are so many vehicles on the road.

Yeah, plenty on North Rd, 2 I think as you head out of town.

Sukhumvit itself has loads.

Some on Threppasit, again heading out.

The cheating one where they don't like to zero the meter on the 3rd Rd/Tai junction.

There are still the bottles for sale at various points around town if it is just a matter of topping a bike up. I live well out of town and am in the habit of filling up near the house as a routine Monday AM.

That's the one I used to use. Probably nearest to me, so I shall double check the meter reading before I fill the tank.

Regarding the one near 3rd Road and Pattaya Tai, they've installed new pumps and meters, and I believe they have put a stop to the cheating now.

I use that one all the time, and they haven't done a cheat in several years.

As far as I know, there is only 1 on Thapprasit close to Sukhimvit.

As jacko says, there are loads of them on Sukhimvit going north...less so coming south, but a few.

I recall a report here on the offending gas station more recently than 'several years' ago, wasn't it you getting hit for a second time?

Anyhow, good news that they have put a stop to it.

And there is more than 1 gas station on Threppasit, there are two practically side by side.

Well, recently I have been satisfied with their delivery system and the way the new pumps are working. For one thing, because they are new, I can read the meter from the bike or car to verify they are reset. Any problems in the past (however long ago that was) are of no matter to me now.

I'll have to watch more carefully next time I travel up Thapprasit. I've only moved to this area recently, and probably only gone up Thapprasit as far as the petrol stations a handful of times.

There are 2 on Thepprasit, PTT and MP. They are practically right next to each other on the left hand side going towards Sukhumvit. They say the quality is not as good as MP but i use it all the time. No long lines, much better service and no engine troubles to speak of. Price range there also isn't a real noticeable difference

Shell station on 2nd rd is long gone...

I use the station on Pattaya Tai regularly...

...and in a pinch, a quick fifth from one of the motorbike taxi stands...
