I thought I wouldnt need to return to this thread as suggested by you but since you modified your original post to include a question, I will try to answer it to your satisfaction.

 

Firstly let me compliment you on some of the useful information / links that you provide for us ignorant guys   [smiley=thumbup.gif]. I have never said that you have not posted any good stuff. I do bother to look and read most of the posts on this forum. I only said that THIS thread has become useless.

 

The ignore button was suggested by you in one of your posts. I did not invent it. My comments were not aimed at you in person but for anybody that had "hijacked" a perfectly decent thread about airline ticket prices. I have hence not singled you out for anything other than the fact that the thread has become irrelevant now and has lost all its meaning. There seems to be no end to the childish trading of insults on this thread and IMHO its time we move on to better things. Most of the comments posted by others are in response to yours. I dont know what nightcrawler has against you but I think you are old enough to know when to use the "ignore" option judiciously.

 

When you said that I dont need to come back to this thread, I could have given you an ear full of my opinions - but then I dont beleive that if a dog bites me, I have to bite it back !

 

Life is too short to worry about such petty things as what somebody said to you on a message board. I do agree with you that you should never let anybody do it to you in person or online but look at it in a practical way - you will not gain anything by fighting with a faceless and annonymous person on the web [smiley=fight.gif]. I know this flame war isn't really any of my business but here goes. This is a discussion board anyway, isn't it? I have been to BKK and Pattaya several times. To be exact, 8 times. I always enjoy my time there. I've been back 24 hours or so now and can't wait until I go again which I hope will be in a month or two.

 

I don't understand the need to know more than anyone else about Pattaya. One of the beautiful things about Pattaya is you learn something new everytime. The wonder is there for all visitors to see. When that wonder disappears, will I still want to go? I don't know.

 

What's the big deal about freebies? I'm 42 years old and not in bad nick. I wouldn't for one minute say I am handsome or a hunk. I get my fair share of ladies in the UK if I strike when the iron is hot. Although by no means am I prolific! In Pattaya I see some of the most beautiful women in the world every minute of every day. If you treat your chosen lady with kindness and respect you will receive the same in return. This last time I visited I met a wonderful lady. We had a couple of nice days out and a couple of great nights in, she didn't fall in love and neither did I. We are adults and know how the system works. On the last night we exchanged gifts and parted. We will stay in contact by email because we had a good time. That's all. As for freebies, well, everytime we did the deed we didn't agree a price or haggle (lol). We were both having a good time and that was it. Money was paid and I'm sure there was a freebie or two in there.

 

Most visitors to Pattaya will know that if you treat the lady well you will not have to discuss prices or other such things, you will have a good time and that is it. The money part just comes naturally.

 

For instance, if you take the lady shopping she will help you haggle for presents to take home and assist you in taking you to the best shops for the best bargains. For example, I bought some specialist software (engineering modelling) which saved me a considerable amount of money. Without her I wouldn't have known where to go.

 

So let's just see the business for what it is. Farangs pay for the lady's time. It isn't always just about sex, it is about two human beings (if compatible) having a good time. Getting a freebie is about as important as whether it rains on a Tuesday or not.

 

Hope this little ramble proves useful to someone. I'm not taking sides just giving my point of view.
