Exodus Add-on stopped working

Recommended Posts

I think the future for Kodi is limited as the copyright police aim for the Add-Ons.

Phoenix shut down...

This can happen when you install large builds with no room on the box... it will boot than crash and reload the home page...

use ES file explorer to clean your box and empty the downloads folder then clear the trash....

Run it twice to clear everything up

When I run the cleaner in the ES file explorer it does NOT delete the files in the "downloads" folder - even if I have selected the folder to be included in the cleanup.

I guess I can delete the files manually - but why is the folder listed under Clean if it can't be cleaned ?

Sounds good - Exodus stopped working on my Minix again and it did not help to reinstall it. But it is still working on a cheaper box I also installed "the Lanzalad package" on - so I switched to that box.

Exodus seems a bit hit and miss on my laptop too. There appears to be a couple of versions floating around depending on where you get it from. I have installed Specto, which apparently replaced Genesis. It looks and operates very much like Exodus but sometimes is able to source when Exodus can't. I am usually looking for HD streams.

Does Specto pick the source automatically like Exodus ? The other replacements for Exodus I have tried (I thought I had tried Specto Fork too) ask me to pick the server and several of them are either " members only" or fully occupied.

To me Exodus is much more user friendly - but if it does not work I guess that is besides the point.

Exodus gives me a long list of servers to choose from, and most times they require some authorization at the site.

I've never seen it pick a server.

Interesting.

"My" Exodus just lists the movies / TV shows and when I doubleclick on a movie or episode it starts it (almost always) when it is working.

MUCH more convenient than having to try the servers.

With new movies it sometimes accepts too low a quality though.

Agreed, that would be more convenient. I wish my version worked that way.

Often I am hoping to download, so can specify the server. I do get the member only etc stuff with them though, it is just that Specto allowed me to get 3 episodes of a program Exodus would not, so I thought I had found my new Nirvana.. :D A few hours later I was struggling to get HD feeds from both Specto and Exodus!

Streaming was great while it was "in the shadows". Now it is being cracked down upon.

I am beginning to think it will be better to go back to downloading.

The program MM showed us seems a good option.

Covenant is very similar to Exodus and is perhaps better supported.

Generally I am having poor streaming results and downloading is not available or the source has all the episodes mixed up. For example I downloaded a series recently and 6 out the 8 were all the same episode, what a waste of time!

That "fix" can be applied to both Exudus and Covenant. Om my Exudus it WAS applied but I did it on the Covenant - I have decided to believe it helped.

But you are right - it IS getting harder to get good streaming.

It seems to be working fine on my Q Box loaded with Kodi and on my Laptop.

I mostly use Turks stuff though I find the Network section with all the network companies fine for seeing some of the more remote stuff not available on UK TV.
