  1. Yes loved it
  2. Visited Asia beach last trip went through Cabbages and Condoms to get to it but there is a public access near Asia Beach Hotel. This is where the public access is at the end of the road. We went swimming, it was clean that day they have a large net out where you swim.
  3. No that's why we have been married so long, I don't tell him everything and he's not to tell me what happens in Bang Chang even if I ask.
  4. I am of the understanding that we are not covered by any elected medical/dental procedures overseas but if they are consider an emergence EG: get a tooth acke on holidays see a dentist. If he is due and injection while we are there and something goes wrong, as he under the care of his doctor in Australia (who is from the Philippines) this would be taken into consideration by our travel insurance.
  5. A little of topic but I am down loading free talking books and putting them in my tiny MP3 player 16 gb and going walking it cost me $5au came all the way from China so much be good.
  6. Some first hand information about Doctors and dentists visit from February 2012. We have been married now for Thirty years and about 5 years ago Paul was unnecessarily irritable to the point of being depressed and could sleep 24 hours a day if I let him. About 3 years ago with his best friend, work mates and me telling some thing was wrong he finally went to the Doctor and told him everything irritable, tiredness and loss of sex drive (even in Los). He was tested for everything and found he had very very low Testosterone. Now this can cause depression and depression can cause low Testosterone. So he was treated with injection, therapist visit and happy pills. Just getting diagnosed made a big difference to his attitude and soon stop taking the pills and therapist visit were cut back to once a month and they were free (I think they use to just talk about Thailand). But even with the injection his Testosterone was still low so he was referred to a specialist, after 18 months on the public waiting list, we were told we could go private but it would still be 3 months wait and between $300au and $1000 depending on what they did. So on the Sunday before we flew out on the Thursday I contacted the Pattaya International Hospital via email with some details and they replied with an appointment on the Friday to see the SURGEON/UROLOGIST specialist Dr Jessada Full name DR. VICE ADMIRAL JESSADA SUWANNASIN. We arrived early and were seen on time. He can speak English well but translating what he want to know and tell us was a little awkward but we managed. He said that you need to take the happy pills and testosterone to trick the body that every things okay. So we got 2 weeks supply of pills, an appointment for a nurse to give an injection in a few days (as the Hospital had run out) and come back in 2 weeks.Total Cost 1020 baht. Went back after 2 weeks “how you feeling” all agreed petty hard to tell when in Pattaya always better than home. But still no raging bull. So we got six months supply of pills, another injection and a doctors letter stating that he is on a course of testosterone so we could buy them in Pattaya and travel with them to Australia. One injection in Australia costs $35 see attached bill for second visit total 1460 baht $45. We went to the chemist on second road near Tims and got 10 Testoviron injection 250mg for 180 baht each. Made by the same company as what we get in Australia but called Primoteston here. The the happy pills are working as some times I find him annoyingly happy. Sex drive is better but I don't know what a 52 year old sex drive should be. We will be returning in September with a follow up visit to DR. VICE ADMIRAL JESSADA SUWANNASIN. Ticked prohibited drug on our arrival card didn’t even get asked, just got wave through all fine. Took this photo at the markets over at Jonteim Tummy Bug in Bangkok My nephew Clis (more like little brother) arrived in Bangkok a week before us and stayed with his girl friends family, some where that had been flooded in the recent floods. He has all ways eaten what the locals eat but he picked up a bug and threw up so much that he ruptured his stomach. He was treated with strong anti biottics and two morphine drips and a course of tables for the next two weeks. Cost around $200 au he could claim on his travel insurance but not worth the hassle, he could not fault the attention he got. Next time Not so good dentist visit on Soi Baukao
  7. Photo of line up when leaving on the 2nd of March went right back around to the doors it took about an hour and 40 minutes to get throught immigration.
  8. Ate here twice last visit Paul loved the rbs at Bar B Q Bobs and said there just as good, both times only had the half baby back ribs and both times they filled the plate. I had the nachoes as a main, different with slided meat instead of mince and the last time chicken burritos all very nice. And large 99 baht frozen margaritas.
  9. Well our friends made their trip in oct/nov flew in to Bangkok and then caught the next flight to Vietnam went to Halong Bay and Hanoi. Then flew to Vientiane caught a boat cruise going back up the Mekong to Luang Prabang. While they were there Dave wasn't feeling well with flew symptoms so they went down to Pattaya for 5 days then to Bangkok for the last two days the worst of the flooding was over by then. They both fell in love with Thailand and Dave was making plans to join us next year 2013 for the Pattaya bike show. Just days after we arrived in Pattaya we got the news that Dave had died. He got offered a last minute boat trip to the reef, he landed a Giant Trevally grab his arm and said I don't feel good and was blue before he hit the deck. Apparently busted and Aorta value and nothing could have saved him. Rest in peace Dave 1961 to 2012. Today would have been his birthday. 51

  13. Website has expired
  14. We did ours Aug 2010 and our friend did his in Feb 2011 at Kasikorn Bank The Avenues.
  15. Just need a passport, business card from your hotel as an address and a Thai phone number. All done in about 20 mins they issue the card there and take you out show you how to use the card and put in your own pin number. You get a Thai phone sim card for your own phone or buy a cheap phone there. We have taken a few old phones with us to IT Com and if locked they unlock them and set up with a new sim. The only one they couldn't unlock was Telstra and he gave it a good go some deal with Thailand they can't unlock.
  16. This not for the op but some of you are long time travels and you don't have a Thai ATM card.
  17. Like Andy we to live in a private estate not a nudest one but I usually walk around in Bra and short or sun dress and nothing else. (naked in the spa) But in Thailand I try to cover up with light clothing I do wear shorts sometimes at night but I usually have a nice shirt on. I wear slip on shoes a night manly because I can see were I am walking or in. The other half wears a towel skirt (his daughter made for him) at home or just shorts. He tells me in Pattaya he prefers to wear shorts because it is easier for the girls to get their hands up there.
  18. Wouldn't be allowed in Mikes shopping mall, that's why they sell shirts on the stairs out side.
  19. I've got a bottle here that's dated 23-11-44 how old would that be. Look forward to searching for Mekhong and trying it, the best part is I don't get hang overs after drinking it. Andy we would real love to catch up with you and your lady but we are booked for February and September.
  20. http://www.beerwines...ts-savings.html This is where we would buy Whiskey if we were to buy it in Australia but we don't because it is to expensive. There 2 full bottles of Glenfiddich 12 year old sitting on our shelf any body who walks in is free to drink it, I think they have been there about 3 years. Every body wants to try the cheap bands we bring back from Asia. ( The Glenfiddich were bought by people we did foreigners for, would of rather had the cash) When in Thailand live a little try all different brands from 100 baht to 200 baht a bottle if you don't like them give them to the cleaners or the night staff they are very thank full. Yes Martin I understand he asked about single malt but if you drink whiskey your not going to only drink single malt. Well not the people we have met anyway.
  21. not for what we pay in Australia and a lot cheaper than Singapore duty free. Of the top of my head Johnny Walker green label was being promote at Singapore airport one time and when we got to Pattaya, Big C had it for half the price.
  22. Thai Airways have this deal at the moment and just by changing our dates by one day I was able to save $300 and get a free flight with in Thailand. I rang Thai Airways they didn't how to book their own promotion told me to ring a booking agent, rang Flight Center they didn't how to book it. I figured it out and booked it all online. Home Page http://www.thaiairways.com/ Sale page http://www.thaiairways.com/offers/special-fare-promotions/en/thaiplus_freeflight.htm Choose which area suits you, in small writing it says "click for stop over" so you can selected a international flight with a domestic flight with in a months stay. Some dates are aren't available even though they fall within the sale period. Hope it helps some one else.
