  1. As opposed to a planned fire for a new condo block!
  2. Interesting, switched a VPN in and things appear to work fine! It doesn't clarify the problem but offers a solution. Again I repeat, older persons wisdom, don't fight the problems, walk around them!
  3. Well it wasn't me, I always look for the arrow lights.
  4. Well my issue is only dealing with this forum, and on Vista and Win 7. BUT.. just tried on my Win10 pad, which only has Firefox (and Edge which I don't use) and still having problems. Seems like some return communication never gets to me and I only see 'waiting for Pattaya Talk' or 'transferring data from ...etc' and hanging there. But thanks for input.... BTW, Firefox Quantum seems to be OK with my Win10 pad.
  5. Still having issues, unusable on my old Vista laptop, better on Win 7, but still needed to use Chrome there for best results. Occasional hang-ups and no responses even then. Had no issues browsing Thai Visa prior.
  6. I believe the server is in the USA so you sort of confirm what MM said, something in my local network or the gateways. Just strange it seems most evident on Pattaya Talk.
  7. Seems to work OK under Chrome??? Unless something else changed at exactly 7am!
  8. Ah just press the button for the top floor to give them a nice ride. These Chinese have never been in elevators and enjoy it, unless they are rushing down for the breakfast buffet.
  9. No I seem to do OK on advert heavyThai Visa, but this site is now an exercise in frustration for me. It just took me 15 minutes and 15 attempts to get to your post. I switched computers. Later Edit: Working better under Win 7 and the new Firefox... might be time to bin my old Vista Viao! Not perfect though... have to hit the stop key (x) before I get the ability to request reload as it seems hung up!
  10. Annoying.... click on an unread post and it hangs with spinning circle, but post gets marked as read even though I never get to see it. Won't return original text if I want to edit a post. Seems to misbehave in Chrome too.
  11. I didn't....... unusual these days yes.
  12. And there was me wondering about your spelling!
  13. I seem to be having the problem again here in the mornings. Some server work or housekeeping going on? Often hangs on me despite the new supposedly superfast Firefox!
  14. I thought this was explained to you once before. Only you see your IP address, we all see our own. It got my operating system wrong.
  15. Battle Scars
  16. I come out of Thai cinemas shivering too!
  17. Sometimes see it standing at the station or passing through level crossings, mostly looks empty. Last sleeper train I did, it was bloody freezing.
  18. Or be in fear of your life. I did a trip and we had a drunk policeman waving his gun about. Travelling at such slow laborious speeds is frustrating.
  19. A rainly spell.... but the town is filling up still!

  20. Crikey, heard so many bad things wrt them I wouldn't have dreamed of using them. Wasn't the PAL abbreviation meant to represent 'Plane Always Late'? I still recall a work friend complaining how other carriers welcomed you on board with gentle music in the background, but PAL blasted your eardrums! When I worked there for a project I was in and out BA (via HKG where switched to Cathay)... back in the day when their Club World was a pleasure. That was also in the day I flew a lot with Gulf Air too, and they were good. Kuwait Air were rubbish and I hated the airport.
  21. Meant To Be
  22. The inconvenience isn't quite over...... On a rare occasion I wanted to get to South Pattaya in the truck, I was thinking, no problems! Twats, they have the tunnel shut today, I don't recall being warned about this! You can imagine the traffic and the argy-bargy this caused. Who knows why what-for, but what do thousands of drivers matter!
  23. Flown both Qatar and Emirates a few months ago and all I noticed was the Qatar aircraft going all around the houses to avoid neighbour's airspace. And it was pleasantly quieter at Doha Given that and the alternative of transit at LHR I think Arab airlines are still OK.
  24. Well November may have been mentioned, but I had the misfortune to be trying to drive home about 5pm yesterday and well, traffic is already a hassle. A lot of large tourist buses/coaches are choking up the junctions.
