Wouldn't agree. Bangkok is a must do for a first time or relatively new tourist, plenty to do and see. Always used to spend 2-3 nights there when I came into Thailand in my early days, then later was travelling straight through to Pattaya. Even now, living in Pattaya, I like to go for a couple of nights in Bangkok, see the old haunts, have a night out. Variety, spice of life and all that.

Like I did earlier that day.... no fun driving up Sukhumvit! I shall go through the junction on Sunday, not the tunnel! Hopefully I can get back to my routine of over 3 years ago. I did notice that some of the turns on Klang were blocked off near Suk. No sign yet of the cable burying job that is likely to create the next traffic jams.

The big Homepro on Sukhumvit has a good selection of household products, but a trip to Bon Cafe sounds like the best idea, All the water for consumption I use is delivered in those big clear bottles and I don't see scaling problems.

In there myself right now. Seems very pleasant.....struggling to keep my eyes off an extremely attractive young lady in a diaphanous one piece. Not having a drink yet, early for me... probably have a beer up in the air. Hot food, coffee machine, Wi-Fi, and a nice ambience, you can watch the plebs walking back and forth outside. Hang on a minute.. she is beckoning at me from the corridor to the bathrooms.... Nodded off there for 20 seconds....
