  1. That's me. I also have never liked the idea of a single rear shock/spring off centre. Just looks wrong. Have to look at the specs. Thanks.
  2. Same with Emirates/Dubai. Got her a nice bottle of perfume..... About 45 miles per AED.
  3. These things change but as I just flew back on a free one-way Biz Class ticket I am impressed. I say free but the taxes were probably about what an economy flight costs!!
  4. How much are they? Might be interested in a new bike myself.
  5. You just beat me to it, I watched the first 2 episodes and enjoyed them. Very similar in style to 'Breaking Bad'.
  6. Was it here or perhaps Thai Visa where I read of someone complaining a Samsung Phone they bought off Lazada was giving problems and the buyer insisted it was not a new itme as he thought, but one which had been returned to Samsung, they had fixed it and it ended up for sale, cheap, as 'new' on Lazada? Anyhow, my recent purchase from them, a new lappy battery, was fine.
  7. Me too, but heading South. Don't have to worry about BA and their issues!
  8. Wot, again..... Carnage for holidaymakers after British Airways systems CRASH at Heathrow and Gatwick. The Star! The Sun.

  10. I hear they are here or there, where were they?
  11. Sorry old chap, struggling with the banter, or rather the abbreviations.
  12. Well Thailand reminded me what heat means yesterday!

  13. Well it's not like I have tried a lot of different ones but yes have been mostly happy and they have a shit load of servers worldwide to choose from. Their support was a little 'automated' if you know what I mean, ie initially making simplistic off the treadmill suggestions but they kept at it. Does fastukvpn.co.uk not have a forum/ Facebook page you could get to.
  14. You have to wonder whether a less attractive 2000 all nighter slightly tubby, not so pretty, beer bar girl is going to give you better service than some 5000 baht, my friend lose her loom key princess pretty! Makes me think it is all about arm candy...... Personally don't have the experiences to compare except to say grabbing an older one at an MP usually yields a better result!
  15. Concorde flew at 60,000 ft!

  17. I can only say I am also with True ISP, and am able to connect to UK servers via IPVanish VPN service. I doubt True would block Apple prior to Windows. I have been suffering spurious disconnections a few times but it hasn't impacted me that much. I suspect strongly this is an issue with one particular UK end server. You need to contact your VPN supplier. I had issues when IPVanish upgraded, which went fine with Win10, and WIN 7, but would not load onto my old Vista unit. IPvanish helped me through some belaboured attempts to get it to load, which ultimately ended up with rolling back to the previous release and blocking the check for updates.
  18. Let us keep it in perspective ... there are also some really big ugly-uns in beer bars too!
  19. I don't recall I disagreed. I said LHR-JFK was the most lucrative route, perhaps LHR-LA too but I don't think Concorde had the legs and also would have had to go subsonic over the USA. Yeah, not commercial sense to design an aircraft for only one route, be it LHR-JFK or Cape Canaveral to Cape Canaveral.

  21. Perhaps it had to do with the path it took. I certainly heard it whe I was in the Corporate office in Orlando. (We were looking out for it) But it was a pretty rare event. My landings at JFK all seemed to be over the sea, but perhaps a take-off would disturb the rich on Long Island. The point was, Concorde was blocked for 3 years while UK authorities had to go through the courts and the only route where it could make the big bucks (LHR-JFK, ferrying Sting and other rock stars in a hurry) denied to it. Yet ultimately it was accepted with little concession. A false impression perhaps but from the other side of the pond it looked like sour grapes were involved. It was always 'rumoured' the Americans stole the design technology that got around the sonic boom problem some years previously. Oh the old tomahto, tomato arguments.
  22. All that sitting you do at work mate. Never mind, soon be over with. Haven't heard any more about lucrative and enticing redundancy offers yet?
  23. The system in Manchester extends quite wide into surrounding areas, like Bury, Rochdale, Eccles and Ashton Under Lyne, and supports about a dozen main line railway stations and the airport. God forbid what the M60 would be like without it! Would love to see a smaller system in Pattaya, that could connect my home out of town to Beach Rd (Walking St end)!
