  1. Anything else still dripping?
  2. I just upgraded my Kodi. On my Win7 laptop I just loaded 17.0 over the 16.1 and it took care of everything. All my Add-Ons are intact and the record of what I have watched previously. On my Win10 pad I screwed up slightly and loaded the 17.1 App not the program (apparently it is different)! My Add-Ons etc are intact on the 17.1 App but I still appear to have the 16.1 there too. It is a waste of the rather limited storage on my pad, but I don't want to screw things up by trying to uninstall the 16.1 Jarvis. Things are getting just too complex for me as I age!
  3. Indians? Once had a room next to a gang of them, had to move.
  4. In relation to Kodi and pre-loaded Kodi boxes. Are Kodi boxes legal in the UK? How authorities are cracking down on 'plug and play' piracy. Daily Mirror..
  5. I never knew the New York Post was also blocked here in Thailand! Your quote says 'recently' but isn't it from way back in 2015?
  6. Michelle Pfeifer...(or however it is spelt.)
  7. Not the bloody way my suitcase looked when it arrived in Bangkok last trip. I admit it was a bit heavy but it looked like it had been chucked out of a window. There has also been quite a bit of discussion wrt pilfering at Bangkok. Celphones can trigger bombs, but I would like to think security would notice the 2 sticks of dynamite taped to it. Why have we only heard of this from Royal Jordanian, not exactly the biggest carrier in the world?
  8. Sean Penn.

  10. Surely you have to expect BMs to believe qualified scientists rather than someone who just arrived on a board, whose qualifications we know little of, and who cannot spell. Science appears to have extended almost without limit those infected in more modern times. In the UK we were losing the gay entertainers like flies, Freddy mercury, Kenny Everett etc and in less than 10 years. All I can say is, despite so many men around here trying to justify their cavalier attitude with talk of low to zero risk, I would not go near an infected woman knowingly. And there have been a lot of deaths of women within Thailand due to Aids, but generally it is something they try to hide. My thoughts are that those women were infected during heterosexual relationships... by men. Interesting to put it here for discussion, although not many are qualified.
  11. Sorry,used already here.
  12. Great, some rain. The grass needs it!

  14. They don't seem to see anything wrong in this do they? Even the buses from Rung Ruen do it. Many a trip to Bangkok or back has taken much longer than necessary due to this, despite them claiming it is a direct service. I can appreciate letting people off for the BTS rather than sitting there doing walking pace to Ekamai down Sukhumvit. But last trip about 35km out he came off the Expressway into traffic jams to let a Thai couple off and it added 30 minutes by the time we got back on again, then bloody well did it again a few miles further. . Then I told the conductress on the way back I wanted dropping at Rhong Poh, which is on Sukhumvit just before the Hwy 36 junction. When I got off I realized that just because of me, 60+ people had been taken on a confusing trip to Laem Chabang rather than whizzing to the end of the motorway. I use Mr T from the airport, and so far so good in many many years, although I do have to go to the car-park. I like the security of knowing I have a ride waiting. But like MM, he only has to let me down once and he loses my business. The drivers often seem familiar with Pattaya, and I too can give basic directions to my home.
  15. I use Kodi but from my Laptop and got subtitles on it. I just searched around for instructions on the internet..... plenty of helpful advice there. Here is an example. My subtitles are on by default, and I usually turn them off. Always mostly way out of sync anyhow.
  16. You are right, got hit for a quid access to drop a pal off at Newcastle too!
  17. That is Manchester.... I hope someone will be along soon to tell us what LHR does.
  18. Swings and roundabouts. Usually I find the guy easily as I am told which gate area he will be at (same one for a few years now). I always grab one of those luggage carts and he takes that off me and all I have to do is follow him in my zombie like state, worrying whether he will run off with my suitcase. Although it is a few years since I did it the taxi queue once had me stood waiting, hot and sweaty, for a good while which I certainly didn't enjoy. The driver did appear happy to get a Pattaya run, and his fixed price indeed included tolls. I also hold a grudge as once, the taxi took me a few km from the airport and tried to swap me into his mates tattier vehicle. Bloody UK requires me to find £1 coins to get a cart, bastards! Do the idiots think people flying in from all corners have them handy!
  19. Getting just a little too hot mid-afternoon. Predictions say it is to be a hot 'un this year.

  20. I expect it will still be high enough even if they do remove those floors!
  21. The guy I use always includes tolls in the 1200 baht fare.. but it would hardly surprise me that a Thai driver would avoid the motorway to save some baht despite the much longer travel time. My worst ever experience of a taxi ride was one I booked from one of those kiosks in Pattaya and I had been told included tolls, but the driver insisted it didn't. He had been paid by the mafia as he called them and I had already paid at the kiosk. He avoided tolls, which meant some choked up back roads and drove like a maniac. Those people who live near Jomtiem bus station near Chateau Dale have it easy, the 389 coach service is great.
  22. Very much so in the Thai name calling category. I use a small towel or gardening gloves when getting rid of a tookay. They sure latch on and refuse to let go but I am surprised they have the strength to take a lump out. I had a biggish one latch on to the webbing between thumb and forefinger and it hardly broke skin. Couldn't get it off, submerging in the pool didn't do it and I had to get a blade to lever it's blood-red mouth open.
  23. Well this critter wanted to see more than my garden and wandered into the house and across my lounge as I was having my breakfast and a cup of tea. A young water monitor with a forked tongue. (God help me to remember who that reminds me of) Apparently very bad luck to have a 'hia' in the house and now the Mrs has to go to the temple and make merit!
  24. Yes impressive, but more about drone acrobatics than a view of, or from, The Waterfront.
  25. Do you want one with your name on it?
