  1. Having another 'dry season' rainy spell in Pattaya.

  2. Bill Paxton
  3. And was J.K. Simmons in that one too seven years before he was born?
  4. Doesn't work for me.... I am using Kodi on a laptop. I must admit I find Kodi overly complicated and could have got something wrong! No biggie, I only wanted to watch BBC news and I can get to that without issue going through Sports Devil Add-Onn or go directly to the http://www.watchfreeview.com/ website. I also can stream on demand most things from the Exodus Add-On. With a VPN I get the BBC IPlayer/Downloads working but it does reject some UK based servers. Hmm. The live TV seems to work with a UK VPN switched in, but none of the Iplayer stuff.
  5. I guess the film not the short. Paul Reiser (24hr)
  6. Nah, I took Butch's word for it and certainly didn't want to go near it. I have no ability to edit it out.
  7. Sorry, I had that idea just a little too late!
  8. One for dippy, 2 more to make a bacon, egg and sausage butty with a god drizzle of HP! If that is perversion, I can live with it!
  9. I mentioned that I flew with them in April and the flight from Bangkok to Helsinki was pretty good. But the hop to Manchester in my case on Nordic Regional was 'orrible!
  10. There is a lawyer available to talk to at The Expats Club meeting, one in particular has talked of successful claims against condo building companies. Another friend who bought and sold a lot of condos spoke negatively of Israeli companies. Good luck....it sounds frustrating.
  11. Other than legal action perhaps City Hall. Police don't like to get involved.
  12. What was the price like going via LHR and Malaysian? I have been looking at a trip to Bali from Bangkok and Malaysian are coming in pretty cheap even for Biz Class. A little more than Air Asia and I don't have to piss around getting to Don Muang.
  13. Yeah I watch this a bit too. Sometimes it appears to be blocked on my True ISP, but I switch in a VPN and it usually works. Since the BBC news vanished from Sophon I use it more. That and watching TV series streamed from Kodi/Exodus and my TV watching is covered! Haven't popped a DVD in for ages.
  14. The sun is back. My lawn looking better from the rains.

  15. Yes it would be Doha in Qatar.
  16. I frequently do.............
  17. Just thought I would update on this. I just received a refund from Expedia, 7 months after I had to cancel my return leg and requested the refund, spent many hours on the phone! I just recently had a flush of annoyance and decided to push this again, I had all but given up. So I sent emails again to Expedia Thailand, I sent in a new complaint via their web-page, and I also phoned their number. I wasn't too optimistic as they kept me on hold for ages and ages and then disconnected the call (no I was not getting hot!). But I wonder if my other tactic helped, I went to the Airline too, Finn Air. They confirmed to me they had already processed a refund back to Expedia, and I complained to them the refund had not reached me. Anything to learn here.... booking directly with the airline is the best approach. Use the agents for bargains, not more expensive tickets. (Mine was a Biz Class fare and that was why it was eligible for a refund). Stay clear of them if there is the slightest chance you will have to cancel or reschedule your flights, the tickets often come with a lot of restrictions. That said, I am pleased Expedia ultimately came through, such a pity they made it so difficult! Their tactic is to make it difficult in the hope you will give up!
  18. Thanks, that looks easy and I frequently pass that way as I cut the Dolphin roundabout , Not today, looks like the rain is set to last. Just checked the radar, a heavy spell then it should clear.
  19. It has been pouring down all night, unusual weather.

  20. Lost me there, there isn't an exit from Big-C onto soi Phettrakun. A Google Maps link might work easier.

    Bite Me!

An A-Board! Sorry I am just showing off, I only learned what they were called a few years ago. Prior to that they were 'those damned things I fall over when I am not looking where I am going that some idiot left in the middle of the pavement'.
  22. Yes the road signs at the 2nd Rd end would confirm that.
  23. IHT is normally executed on the estate of the deceased in the country of domicile, not individually on beneficiaries. One would need to check the tax rules of the particular countries.
  24. It is pissing down here now, great, it has been a while!
