Had a bit of fun getting rid of the tookay yesterday, normally release them in a casava field 2 km away (they come back if released nearby). I released it from the plastic basket and it about turned and jumped on my foot, then ran up my leg, horrified I knocked it off and it scampered under my bike and I couldn't see it. So I set off thinking it was gone, and luckily decided to get rid of the plastic basket rather than go straight into town. Just as I turned into my street the damned thing climbed up onto my instruments and looked around and at me. I turned around and drove slowly back all the time worried the damned thing would decide to start climbing up my arm while I could do little about it. Got to the casava field again, knocked it off and it climbed straight back on my bike and into the plastic pocket by the knee. A Thai man came over and jabbed a stick at it until it it dropped down and ran off, he must have been as disinclined to touch it as me. (They bite and refuse to let go). Earlier, disposing of the snake, I scared the hell out of a few monks passing by sitting in a motorcycle side car.

Looks painful, some of these insect and snake bites actually dissolve tissue. You might need a shot, be it anti-biotic, tetanus or something!

But you do incorporate a big lump of fat in there!

A bit of a coincidence as the Mrs screamed this morning and a snake was being relocated a few minutes later, very sluggish due to the cool morning. Just another keelback. Got a tookay waiting to be relocated too. They need to be moved further away.

Weekend of 27th/28th will also be traffic disruption days, International Fireworks Competition. We are heading into that season........

Just used the Agoda link, all worked fine. Have a loom for the International Fireworks Competition. A friend was telling me of a trick for Agoda, it seems the price he was being quoted varied depending on his IP address location. Confirmed using a VPN. Didn't try it myself, I am such a LDOP!

I did chat with a resident yesterday who had visited the market. He said it was pretty good and not the usual plastic-crap and T-shirts rubbish we often see. The noise didn't affect him as his condo is on the far side to the event, and since he could walk there parking and traffic didn't either. Personally not my thing though.

As a pal of mine used to always tell me 'defrag your hard disk'.....I used to say OK, thanks for that while thinking 'it is only 45% used you thick twat'.... I find the board response time slow often but pages are loading okay.

Any impact on traffic at the busy Thrappaya/Threppasit junction and the Thrappaya/Jomtiem 2nd lights? I hate these things as they are often located centrally and make getting around an absolute nightmare.

I bet it is a lot of fun for the residents! Where exactly is it, on that patch of spare land? I have a friend living in one of the buildings and will ask him if there is any impact.

In the UK we were taught a chant as kids at school, (at the road stop, look right and look left etc) but it was later sensibly modified to include keep looking both ways all the way across. The big issue, as I discovered last night nearly being hit by 3 idiot Arabs on a bike is undertaking. It seems completely brainless to me not to consider why that car in-front may well be stopped and blindly whiz up its inside. It will be a long time before this bad driving and selfish attitude is improved.

I only commented as it is familiar face and I thought I must have seen him around town and couldn't remember where.
