  1. I don't think Jeremy Kemp was in that, how about.. The Blue Max.
  2. I drove through it all yesterday and it was worse than previously. The reason appears to be work going on outside of the main tunnel construction close to the pavements in both directions. I think this was modifications or installations of electrical cables, so the traffic was being choked further. It is a bit dodgy on a bike, sure you can wend your way through but beware at weekends when Bangkok drivers are in the mix. They seem to be more aggressive and don't like to give way. Another thing to beware of would be people making their way home early or late evening, there is a chance they have been drinking, likely heavily, and patience becoming thin. I had 2 incidents (elsewhere not by the tunnel) over the weekend where I came across someone driving drunk as a skunk, no lights, on and off the road, and another where I believe a group of a few lads who had been at Bira or somewhere up Hwy 36 were coming home in their Nissan with a spoiler and noisy exhaust, looking for a bit of trouble and racing. Driving here is getting dodgier, and you are on your own out there.
  3. Funny, witty and so apt as usual!
  4. Groundhog Day.
  5. Likely depends on which VPN you use and whether the BBC has got the IP addresses on their block-list. I bet it impacts those actually living in the UK and legitimately using the IPlayer who like the added security of a VPN. The one I use has closed down the threads on their Forum on this subject, I suppose it is bad for business. A friend of mine uses this and says it still works, not really a VPN. Not suitable for me as I use multiple devices and you pay per device. Sat up a bit late last night watching the Great British Bake-Off live rather than early as I couldn't get into the IPlayer.
  6. Mel Gibson
  7. Not any more I don't.......... BBC IPlayer cracks down!
  8. Danny Glover.
  9. My mother used to get a Capon for Christmas, obviously we do not do Turkey day the same. It was never a massive family gathering, just us and grandma and a turkey is just too big. A Capon is a good between, and apparently a better taste than regular chicken. I must admit I was invited to Thanksgiving a few times when in the USA and loved the turkey, dark meat especially.
  10. Hard to link that to posting hanging for me on my old laptop. Just best to be glad of the fix, well done.

  14. When I was at secondary schools the sexes were kept apart to prevent giggling while breast stroke was being discussed.
  15. Well Harvey, it should mostly all flow towards the sea! It is slowing and brightening up here to the North now, and the radar image suggests it is breaking up and heading off to points East. Pattaya can drain and get back to normal. I shall go for a swim when it stops proper....don't want to get wet. She has taken the truck and I know the road near me, which has been under construction, will be a quagmire, it nearly had me off my bike the other day as the water hid some dangers! Hopefully dry for my trip to a curry by the lake tonight.
  16. Pool level up to the sand wash....... Easing now.. but radar suggests there may be a bit more yet. Betting Soi Bua khao is under water.
  17. Unforgiven.
  18. Raining at my place after a bit of thunder. Quite a lot of 'weather' heading SE from upper Central area. So I expect more to come...... Bloody grass needs cutting now, last month it looked like the baseline at the end of Wimbledon. A few minutes later: Getting serious now, paddling and traffic chaos in town I think!
